My story:
First of all, I just want to say Thank You for this awesome website. I love the fact that if you want to view a workout video, you just press play! That makes it a whole lot easier to see if you will like it!
It wasn't about loosing weight for me, it was about getting my confidence back. In 2004, after the birth of my son Chase, I was diagnosed with a stage 3 breast cancer. I received a mastectomy, 4 rounds of aggressive chemo therapy and 5 surgical procedures. As I was going through my treatments, I made a big effort to continue to work out. Here I was this frail, bald, 120 lb. woman, only able to lift 2 lbs. With every rep, squat, and push-up, I got stronger and stronger.
Fourteen months after my last round, the cancer came back, my doctors urged me to do chemo again, but I refused and opted to eat a clean diet, to continue to exercise and enforce a positive attitude. I am happy to say, that I Reversed My Own Cancer!
I am so thankful to be here to see my boys grow up! I am glad that I have a "Never Give Up" attitude, it has greatly helped me reach my goals in life. I gained back the confidence that cancer took away from me! Today, when I look in the mirror, I don't see that frail bald woman, I see a new and improved Carol. I am healthy, happy and physically fit!
