Hey Dawn! I drink Tazo Awake Tea usually 4 mornings a week. I put sugar and milk in mine and it tastes really good. I don't think I have tried green tea. The tazo tea is black tea. But I love milk and sugar in any hot tea. Unless you are speaking of cold tea, I usually like mine with sugar as well- it just needs to be sweetened for me. If you don't want to use real sugar, you could try splenda.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Hi Dawn, When I started drinking green tea many years ago, I used to drink it with honey. I still drink green tea every so often but my favorite is red or rooibos. I drink it as is.

I like to put a little honey in my green tea most times. Every once in a while I'll drink it as is.

Thanks Mandee, Jane and Barb.....I had bought Stash Pepperment and thought of adding a tablespoon of Chocolate Ovaltine. I heard many benefits of Green Tea but I suppose all teas are equal in benefits???

Only a tablespoon Dawn? Are you cutting back? Anything tastes better with chocolate. I love green tea. I've also been drinking white tea. White tea is supposed to be better than green anti oxidant-wise, so I hear. And it's best when you drink it hot right after a meal. Something to do with digestion and breaking down fats. Gotta like that!!

No kidding T. Sprinkle it right on peanut butter. Yup right out of the jar too. YUMMY. My parents had this all natural, low fat blah blah peanut butter (I know so much better for you than Skippy) but it tasted like plaster, until I sprinkled some Ovaltine on it. OOO LA LA.

Dawn have you tried flavoured green tea ?? I used to drink Morning Flower, it's green tea with sunflower buds, cornflowers and rosebuds, I used sugar, which is why I don't drink it now .. although I could try it without sugar but somehow I don't think it will taste the same .. I drink coffee, no sugar :-)

About your green tea question ( iknow, not the right spot, butanyway..)...it gets bitter if you brew it for more than about 2minutes. i am a tea drinker...i love my tea, but green tea is not myfave. i have made a latte with it ( i use a hand blender) which is goodwith soy or lowfat milk....its quite filling as a snack actually....andi use sugar/sucanat. Had to post it in the right place!!

Yes, green tea, black tea...its the same tea, only black is more fermented. green is slightly lower in caffeine, and slightly higher in antioxidants. oolong tea is in between green and black. the other "teas" are not tea at all if they are not from the Camellia sinensis plant, so peppermint, chamomile, roobois are herbal "teas". they may also have health benefits but they are not tea. Tea is very good for you, better than coffee (sorry java fans) so drink up! HTHelps!

Hi Dawn - I was kidding about the tablespoon of Ovaltine. And, I too love coffee, but only drink it if I go out to breakfast. Too easy to drink too much otherwise. I was looking on a web page that had a chart of different teas and and their properties and health benefits. I'll find it again and post the link if you're interested.

I buy my green tea over the internet .. I'll send you the link that I buy from BUT you'll have to find a place in your country that sells it over the net or a TEA SHOP which is what this is .. they don't send overseas because of the custums .. raw stuff can't be sent, it has to be baked or roasted .. so I'm sending this link just so you can look and see if you can't find something like this in your country .. it is a worldwide thing though, a friend of mine gets it in Germany that's how I found it :-) it's so yum !! http://www.theteacentre.com.au/

Teavana has great teas. They only sell loose tea, though. But, they have a great steeper that empties right into your cup when you are ready to drink. I like their teas without anything added, but they use German Rock Sugar to sweeten their teas. I'm not sure how good it is for you or even what makes it special. I guess that's something else to google.
