- Happy Birthday to you this week!
I don't think too many that post here have ventured out to buy this set since it's pretty pricey and the pumps can't be bought separately w/o the barbell.
Funny, I just wrote in my check-in that this system has been such a great fit for me and I am still loving it after 7 weeks! No dread factor whatsoever but I am now adding in outdoor walks this month and I have been adding in yoga/stretching throughout the rotation also. The only workout I didn't care for is the "Flow" and chose to sub my other yoga/stretching for that.
If my recollection is correct, you do have Turbo Fire, correct? I would think those workouts would fit into the cardio days very well if you get bored w/ doing just the BP cardios. I LOVE every one of them and they are soooo much fun and provide me with a great, sweaty workout. However, I can never do the low impact versions cause the music motivates me to always do the high impact version! It's definitely what you put into these workouts what you get out of them. But there's only 3 of them so adding in other forms of cardio may be desired. And, so far so good, with my wonky knees.
The pumps are great - there's only one negative I found with them - Pump & Burn does not contain any tricep work. So the few times I've done it, I added on some tricep exercises but today I modified the chest press track by positioning my hands on my bar to do tricep presses mixed in with the chest presses. This worked well for me.
I would definitely buy this system again in a heart beat! It's been a terrific fit for me and I'm seeing some great arm definition as well as leg definition - which is saying a lot since I usually just use bodyweight workouts for my lower body. And....DH has also been liking my Body Pump "assets", too! LOL!
