yoga sandals

Anyone have these? A friend had some on and I tried them on and they felt pretty comfortable. For those who may not know what I am talking about, they are like thongs, only they have a separator between each toe. I am close to purchasing a pair, but wanted to know how comfortable they really are after wearing them all day. They are supposed to be good for your feet. This is what I have read about them... Yoga Sandals® are very special and unique sandals that use four toe separators to space each toe from its neighbor. The resulting separation opens up the 26 bones in the feet and helps those bones become mobile, as they were meant to be. Look at a child’s foot and how agile that foot is, aiding in balance, promoting body alignment. Our feet, often crammed into narrow shoes, lose that young and agile mobility. We begin walking with the bones of our feet jammed together and our natural balance and body alignment is lost. Without mobility, the bones of our feet can promote several foot disorders such as osteo-arthritis, hammertoe, bunions, and poor circulation. Yoga Sandals alleviate those potential problems by spreading the toes and retraining the feet. As the foot bones regain mobility, balance, body alignment, and improved posture is restored, often resulting in reductions of leg, hip and back problems. Yoga Sandals have been examined and approved by Doctors of Osteopathy, Podiatrists, Chiropractors, Doctors of Medicine, Yoga and Health Instructors. And the really good news is that Yoga Sandals are affordable. Yoga Sandals allow free movement to retrain the bones and muscles of your feet as you walk and get on with your day, increasing the mobility of the feet.

I've been wondering about these, too, SG. They don't really look comfortable, but I've wondered if they would help alleviate pain from PF. I also am wondering how long you have to wear them each day for them to be effective.
My minutes goal for the year is 13,750. 19210.

They felt comfortable to me, (the bottoms were very cushiony) but I also think it would take awhile to get used to the extra things between your toes. My friend said she really likes them. I guess I will be the guniea pig.....

Hi SG, my physical therapist and I were talking about yoga sandals today and I remembered some posts about foot wear. Do you have any further thoughts on these? thanks! Katie

I have seen these, but don't own them. I'd like to know how comfy they really are. Just a thought since the last 3 years Yoga has been extensive in my life (like you ladies couldn't tell tee hee). My feet were already wide width, but now my toe area is wider than before, makes it hard to find shoes. It is from spreading the toes all the time during poses. I wonder if wearing these shoes all the time would do the same thing, increase the width of the toe area?

I never did get these sandals! I am still debating on getting a pair, but now after ready the last post, I am scared! I don't need my feet any wider than they already are! However, I need to get a new pair as I just broke another pair of flip flops so gotta replace them!
