Personal History: I was born and raised in New Jersey. As a child, I was active in gymnastics, ballet, and track. I started teaching aerobics at 16 and taught aerobics in college. After college, I landed a job teaching aerobics in Carnegie Hall in New York. I was giving small classes to celebrities in a room that would be considered way too small by today's standards. To conserve space, they used 14-inch benches - each bench held 5 people. When The Step company introduced 'true' step aerobics, I returned to the Four Seasons Spa and started teaching step. I'm married with two boys - ages 3 and 5.
Workout Philosophy: There is no magic pill. You have to DO the work. Establish your goals, design your plan, and stick to it! Workout reminders: be consistent, work hard, stay focused, and always keep your workouts stimulating, effective, and challenging.
Success Story: This is certainly one of my favorites. "My weight hit its all-time high of 375 pounds, but losing weight seemed impossible! So, as always, I continued to ignore the problem and figured, 'well, you have to die from something!' So, I did nothing. Then, my life took an unexpected turn and I lost my job of 8 years; it was the lowest point in my life. No job, obese, and dying from it; I felt like I'd hit rock bottom. While flipping through the channels one morning, I saw a Denise Austin workout and I watched it for a few minutes. Something that day made me say, 'I'll do it; I'll start losing this weight.' I could only last about 10 minutes that first day. But, by the end of the second week, I could do the full 30-minute show. I then found Cathe's videos and, at 350 pounds, began strength training and cardio. The weight began to melt off. Health problems I'd had for years, such as swollen ankles and bronchitis, were gone. I looked and felt better than I'd ever looked in my entire life and my body continued to take shape and shed fat. I did have to modify all of Cathe's cardio in order to complete it. But, even with modifications, I was consistently shedding pounds and inches each week. My journey is not over; I'm still traveling. But, with Cathe's workouts, I know I'll reach my goals of attaining a healthy weight, being fit, and healthy for the rest of my life."

Over 50 and better than ever--
I have been working out all my life--from gymnastics at age 5 to cheerleading in high school and weight training in my late teens early 20's. After the birth of my son in 1980, I started doing workout videos--couldnt get to the gym--so TV and videos were my source of exercise. I did Denise Austin for a LONG time--then just daily jogs or some gymnastic routines and weight lifting sessions--I saw Cathe on FitTV 4 years ago--she scared me--at that time I was doing Sharon Mann workouts--she kind of "prepped" me for Cathe--once I did a Cathe workout--that was it for me--I own a collection of her DVDs, and I look, act, and feel better than I did in my 20's--people cannot believe Im 51 years young!! Thank you Cathe--for teaching me how to work out RIGHT (Ive been doing things wrong for so many years with no results). Cathe Friedrich is my idol--Im going to 4 Seasons this fall---hopefully Ill meet her!!

Nobody Does it Better!
I found Cathe about 12 years ago and she is the only instructor I use for intense cardio and strength. All of her workouts push me and motivate me! I love her cuing, her personality and her spirit! She has kept me in shape through 2 pregnancies and beyond!! I hope and pray she never retires!! :)

Cathe's are the best ones out there.
I think Cathe's videos are some of the best ones out there. I own three already, they are so hard that I rarely do them but when I do my body looks great. You can tell a lot about the video by how the instructors body looks.. her body is perfect!

she is number one the top trainer
Cathe is great. I've been trying to find someone as good, and I can't. Her workouts are great, cues are great, and she look much more natural than other fitness trainer with fake smile all the time. And what I also like is that is hard work. I was a aerobic trainer for years but dont worry this is easy to follow. I am back into sport with Cathe she give my the motivation to be in shape again why not you?

Five Years With Cathe and Counting!
Cathe is simply the best! Her strength training dvds has shaped and continue to shape my body at age 53. We have a calendar age and a cosmetic age; Cathe's dvds are one of the reasons that I look younger than my age...that and organic nutrition. Keep up the good work Cathe...you are simply the best!

tough workouts !
i love Cathe's workouts .i own bootcamp/muscle endurance . i think bootcamp is my fav. there is only one thing i can't do on it though which is the squat thrusts because i have a bad back. so i do mountain climbers instead . still gets the heart rate up . plus i love the music on Cathe's workouts !

GOODBYE FIRM, HELLO CATHE!
I have been doing "The Firm" for 11 years, when I found them to be non-challenging, and repetitive. I found Cathe while searching to replace my ruined "Body Pump" tape. I ordered her "Muscle Endurance" and that put Body Pump to shame. (I use that when I don't want to work very hard), then Power Hour, then to the step tapes, and on and on...can't wait to get my "Gym Style Series" and look forward to each new challenge!

Simply the best
For my , no one does it better than Cathe. Her workouts are intense, but doable, and you really feel as you've done something great for yourself when finished.Her style is encouraging, not sappy, which I like. Just great.

CATHE IS GREAT!
Cathe is great. I've been trying to find someone as good, and I can't. Her workouts are great, cues are great, and her energy is great. And what I also like is that the team she has doing the workout with her actually KNOW what they are doing! They follow her lead perfectly and don't wimp out on the workout. They, including Cathe, also don't prance around which is appreciated. She and her team work HARD and inspire you to do the same!

Staying fit at 57
I read a life changing book about 8 years ago, "Strong Women Stay Young." I finally convinced myself that I had to get serious about exerising. I discovered collage video and started with easier routines. Then I decided to try a Cathe DVD. Wow! My first one was tough. I was so proud of myself when I could finally do it. Now I'm trying ones that are more and more difficult. I just finished "Butts and Gutts." I did it the whole thing! Cathe has such a fun way of motivating me. I can't believe that I actually have muscle definition at my age. I've been able to keep my weight under 125 lbs and avoid those flabby "grandma" arms and a pouchy tummy. Thank you, Cathe, for coming into my home every morning to brighten my day!
