Certified instructor description:
A uniquely graceful program blending movements from yoga, Pilates, dance and sports. These controlled, fluid routines are sure to improve your balance, flexibility and strength. A Joffrey Ballet-trained dancer and IDEA Instructor of the Year, Kari designed this program to provide “focus and body awareness along with a new confidence.” It’s somehow both relaxing and challenging — your body just gently flows through a precisely programmed series of angles and lines in space. This is a beautifully produced workout featuring meticulous cuing, exquisite photography and very soothing instrumental music. ©1998. DVD has: Narrow screen.

DIFFERENT KIND OF WORKOUT!
I was really happy to add this to my collection; I really like Kari! - posted by Sara Goldenberg on 4/25/2007

a runner, etc. and I enjoy this a lot
I disagree completely with the reviewers who say that if you are used to running and vigourous exercise you won't get anything out of this tape. I run and do other strenuous exercise, and I always thought that I would hate a tape like this, but I love it. It's challenging in a new way, and it leaves me feeling graceful and flexible. If all you are doing is this tape than I agree you wouldn't get much fitness benefit, but I think it's a great supplement. - posted by Barb on 9/24/2004
Excellent!
It's everything the description says it is - a good workout (if you try to use the best form possible), yet it's relaxing, and really fun. After doing cardio, weights, and step videos for a few days, this is a great video to stretch tightened muscles. - posted by Margaret on 1/12/2004
BORING!
I was very disappointed in this video. I have heard so many wonderful things about it. Unfortunately, I found it to be extremely boring and shut it off after about 15 minutes. - posted by Celia on 8/22/2003
Wonderful!
I absolutely love this video! I have been working out to this video religiously for the last 4 weeks & I have already seen dramatic results! My legs & butt are more tone, I have gained flexibility and my overall strength & posture has improved. The best thing is, is that because form is so important and it takes practice to master the form. You are still getting benfits, becuase you are consistently getting better. I definitely reccomend this video, especially if you need a change of pace or just don't like the cosntant jumping around of aerobics! - posted by Marcy on 2/9/2003
MAYBE IF YOUR A BEGINNER OR LIKE BALLET !!
Slow and boring, not really stretching, yoga, or pilates. I don't know what this tape is. I had read that it was a staff favorite and received good reviews but I agree with the other reviewer. If you workout a lot, it will not give you enough challenge or really help your stretching. It is to slow and boring!! - posted by MICKY B. on 1/3/2003
LOVE THIS VIDEO!
I love this video. I especially enjoy it on in-between-strength-training days when I want a good workout, but want to give my body a rest from weights. Well, this video is still challenging, but in a different way. The dance and stretch elements are a really nice change of pace and the whole video has a relaxing feel to it. I also recomment Angles, Lines & Curves II which is similar but a little more challenging on the toning end. - posted by Patty on 11/14/2002
Nice stretch/Zero fun factor!
I bought this video because I tend to work out VERY HARD, and thought I could force myself to do a relaxing video once every couple weeks or so. Something pseudo-yoga and pilates sounded good, and Kari is such a graceful, beautiful example of fitness. Surely this video was worth a try Hah! If you're used to high-impact cardio routines, or are a runner, or enjoy weighted routines, you'll probably find like I did that this is sheer torture--not because it's especially difficult (it really isn't), but because it is so s-l-o-w and BORING!! Where's the movement Where's the release from breathing heavy and sweating It just isn't there. That said, this is probably a lovely routine for someone who enjoys ballet, yoga, pilates, or quiet walks--but rock-n-roll, high-impact aerobicizers should try renting or borrowing it first! - posted by Diana on 11/2/2002
very nice video
I bought this video a few months ago, and I fully enjoy it. The workout moves along a a great pace, and at the same time is very relaxing.Don't be fooled. You will feel it the next morning! - posted by kelly on 10/28/2002
Challenging But Relaxing Too
I am an ACE-certified personal trainer, so I am not a beginning exercizer, but I have also never been very flexible. This tape pleasantly challenges my limits. What I like most about it: Kari Anderson's intelligent, non-cutsy style and the gracefulness of it all. What I like least about it: I was really hoping for more of a pure dancer's stretch video, but this one is more toning than stretch. All in all, though, a beautiful and effective dancer-oriented, toning/stretch video. - posted by Michel on 8/14/2002

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
