Certified instructor description: A solid cardio workout by an excellent instructor, it uses just 10 classic aerobic moves (from marches and knee lifts to grapevines and jazz squares). Even if you’ve never worked out, this is a great way to learn/practice these fundamental routines as you slim your body. Always at an aerobic pace, Gay begins by demonstrating each move (often adding interest with subtle variations of a basic motion). Then she combines these steps into four fun combinations. Gay’s add-on technique makes it all very “do-able” — after practicing one combo, it’s easy to just add on the next. You also get on-screen insets showing tips, suggestions and more challenging modifications. ©2001. DVD has: Chapter menus, Narrow screen.

Fat Burning for Dummies

Excellent Workout
I have done weight training for several years but this was my first experience with floor aerobics. Gay has a very friendly and positive approach which is highly motivating. Her cuing is also right on so you're not constantly trying to remember what comes next. It's a fast-paced workout that offers several levels of intensity so it's doable for beginners but can still be challenging for the more advanced. - posted by Paula on 3/12/2011
Time flies
The time flies in this 37-minute workout. - posted by Mary Ann on 2/19/2011
Great Floor Aerobics
This is a great "floor aerobics" video. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is the PIP box for alternate steps is distracting and annoying. It would be better if Gay just included this in the workout briefly instead of my trying to keep up and watch two pictures at the same time. I hope that Collage puts out more "pure" floor aerobic videos (no step, kickbox, etc.) - posted by WiFiGuy on 2/10/2011
Awesome But..
I'm a advanced exerciser 25years old with a dance background. The first time I did time tape I was disappointed as I thought it was too easy and didn't elevate my heart rate enough even though the choreography was well cued and easy to follow with a pleasant manner. I was a little disappointed at first but put it in again the next day and started taking the High impact challenge options for every move, This really ups the intensity and I thoroughly enjoy this workout If I do on high impact all the way through, great calorie burner and not boring - posted by Shelbie on 11/8/2010
Fat Burning for Dummies
I have been exercising for 8 yrs., yet I still found this DVD very good. It helped me to learn some of the moves that other DVD's go through so quickly you have a hard time learning them. It also gave me enough exercise for my level. - posted by Doris on 6/24/2010
Fat Burning Workout for DUMMIES
Excellent Workout Video ! Gay Gasper is a terrific instructor, very easy to follow her, has a pleasant voice, gives enough time in changing moves. Enough variety of moves so as not to get bored. There should be a VISIBLE CLOCK so that one could monitor the amount of time. This is a GREAT video, recommend it to anyone looking to get into CARDIO. - posted by Ellen on 6/24/2010
Great Video!
Gay does a perfect job teaching the basic moves. Her directions are simple, and she also demonstrates an easier version for some exercises while sitting in a chair. It's a great upper and lower body workout!! - posted by Ellen on 6/11/2010
Intense Low Impact Workout
This is one of the best low impact workouts I've found. It really gets my heart rate up but is easy on my joints. It's also very easy to follow. I will definitely be using this one again and again. - posted by Jess on 4/15/2010

Fun. Good for a mid-60s lady who doesn't move quickly any longer. She doesn't chat at us but just gives easy to follow, timely directions. Speaks clearly. Good variety of moves and combinations. Enjoyable background music. - posted by Gail on 4/11/2010
Great Workout
I was not sure what to expect, but this video is a great low impact but intense workout. I really enjoy it. - posted by Kay on 4/10/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
