Kari Anderson's Angles, Lines & Curves II |
    Amazing Angles |
| I can't say enough about Kari Anderson's workouts in Angles Lines and Curves 2 and also Reach. Kari is a brilliant choreographer, and puts together fusion workouts that engage every muscle in the body. When I read some of the other reviews that are negative, I realized that it is possible that these reviewers do not have the body awareness it takes to make these fusion workouts beneficial. However, if they will give this kind of workout a chance, Kari will teach them body awareness. She will also help to enhance flexibility, balance and strength. It takes practice. One reviewer said she didn't know what these exercises were working, what they were doing for her... well, these exercises work every muscle, like in ballet or even gymnastics. Weight training and cardio are also super important, but without strength work like in Angles Lines and Curves 2 and Reach, the body is not receiving a crucial component of being fit. One can increase balance, flexibility, extension and muscle lengthening, and overall strength, not to mention grace and a feeling of accomplishment in working as hard as one can to perfect the moves. For non-dancers, this will take time. For dancers, it is a few steps beyond traditional body work. GREAT WORKOUTS KARI!! Keep them coming please! - posted by Bella V. on 3/12/2008 |

    Didn't Enjoy |
| Could have been better if their was a Modifier, which took away from the whole workout. Some of the moves are difficult if you are not flexible. Their are some unique moves, but I was always wondering what that particular move was doing for my body. If you are flexible or have a ballet background this might work for you,but if you need a modifier don't get this one. I Like Reach Much Better! - posted by C..M on 10/24/2007 |

    Great Alternative Workout |
| Wow, I felt really great after completing this workout, very relaxed and grounded and an inch taller! It's a neat blend of yoga, pilates and ballet, quite graceful and flowing. Kari is a pleasant instructor, and she makes the moves look so effortless due to her ballet background. The music was great, I thought it set the appropriate mood for the workout. My only complaint is that there is no modifier. I'll have to figure out how to get some benefit out of the side plank and the face-the-ceiling planks until my shoulder strength improves. Guess that's a good reason to put this workout in my rotation! :) - posted by GLB on 8/25/2007 |

| Flexibility, Balance, Posture |
| This is an excellent way to improve flexibility, posture and balance. While I often use toning and cardio videos for those benefits, I find this series by Kari Anderson to be an excellent alternate exercise type to improve these particular skills. Her ballet background is reflected in this workout and if you like that, you'll love using this. - posted by April Budney on 10/17/2006 |

| it's okay... |
| This is a nice workout, but I never do it because 1) it's not particularly difficult in terms of strength training (definitely not intermediate/advanced); 2) while there are different tracks or program options, Kari herself says that the strength and flexibility work are really intergrated together throughout the workout, and she's right. So you can't really use this dvd for stretching unless you do the full program. It is an appealing idea and I can see there not being much of a dread-factor in terms of exercising when using this workout, but to me it's not really a workout. - posted by alison on 8/29/2005 |

| Love It |
| I'm surprised that there aren't more rave reviews on this DVD. I've been doing this DVD now since last year and I find it to be a very challenging, very feel-good workout stretch. I break out in a light sweat and I feel awesome at the end. I consider myself an intermediate and enjoy Bar Method and Pilates - and it is a perfect Sunday workout. It's incredibly relaxing but you've really got to work to do some of those moves. It's one of my favorites. - posted by on 6/16/2005 |

| Excellent Workout for Change of Pace |
| A few years ago I bought Kari's "Angles, Lines, and Curves" and was really glad I did. I get a nice toning workout and stretch, and Kari is such an elegant, encouraging instructor. Now, as my interest in Pilates and ballet-type workouts has grown, I decided to get her newer ALC2 and tried it for the first time last night. What can I say other than it's wonderful! It's a very well-rounded workout with a lower body and core toning emphasis (although your arms are almost always engaged in some sort of flowing movement or to assist with balancing). I also really like the stretching toward the end of the workout. I would say this is definitely a good workout if your like Pilates and ballet and are looking for a little variety in your routine. If you're more hard-core (weights and cardio and lots of sweat) this probably wouldn't interest you. - posted by Donna S. on 9/2/2004 |

| So-So |
| I am an advanced exerciser and was looking for a toning/stretching video. This does fit the bill, but I found it to be boring. Many times throughout the video, I was wondering what exactly that particular move was doing for my body. I would not expect much in terms of results from this video and would suggest it for a beginner who is just getting into exercising. - posted by Jess on 4/20/2004 |

| Not an Inter/Advan workout, but a good break |
| This is a good video to do on a "rest" day if you normally work out at high intensity. I really like it, and the first few times I tried it, my ab muscles were sore in places so low that I didn't know there were ab muscles. But Hard Body Yoga with Tari Rose is the way to go if you're looking for something more than a light sweat. Hard Body Yoga is a full-body workout too. Angles, Lines & Curves II is more lower body. - posted by Elizabeth on 3/9/2004 |
