Time graph for Fit Mama Prenatal Workout with Leisa Hart
Surprisingly easy-to-follow Salsa aerobics followed by yoga-inspired toning. Every move is carefully designed for pregnancy. Featuring energizing Latin music, the cardio is super-fun but not at all complicated. And the toning is explicitly focused on minimizing pregnancy discomfort (e.g. specific ab and low back exercises to avoid sway back). Leisa Hart, in her third trimester, leads the workout, but the class also includes first and second-trimester women (so you can follow the group that best matches your level). Follows American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists guidelines. ©2002. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Fit Mama Prenatal Workout with Leisa Hart

helped me shed those baby pounds
I really enjoyed the salsa moves, simple and fun, combined w the yoga fat burn and the various stretch segments that were done w all three trimesters in mind. I loved seeing women of all shapes and sizes going through what I'm going thru, or at least was going through, and I really enjoyed Leisa Hart. She was calm and motivating at the same time, and her Fitmama PostNatal dvd was really really good, she is a new fav of mine. - posted by Dana on 10/7/2009
great
I am not one to usually give reviews, but Fitmama was great. - posted by Mercedes on 2/9/2009
just what i like
great pace, nice variety, fun instructor, easy to follow moves, challenging enough, i really liked this dvd - posted by Jill on 12/14/2008
not my favorite, but entertaining nonetheless
I found this video to be a little on the boring side. I've been a serious exerciser for a long, long time and had no intentions of stopping with my pregnancy. I bought this video because it looked fun and I liked that Leisa was pregnant too. I felt like there wasn't enough cardio for my liking and the overly-long klegals section was excessive. It was still fun to do, but definitely not my favorite. - posted by Erin on 12/2/2008
my favorite
by far my favorite pregnancy workout video; Leisa Hart is very impressive, I have bought this dvd as a prego gift for several friends and they all rave about it, it is very very good! - posted by Shondra on 10/28/2008
great workout program for pregnant mama's,
Fitmama has some easy to follow moves in the salsa segment that are just what pregnant mamas need. It might seem repetitive to some, but it really isnt. It is well balanced, perfectly paced, and all in all a GREAT PRENATAL workout! - posted by Robin on 10/19/2008
Repetitive
I just bought this because it was so highly rated. One of the last reviews claims that this was a break from all the repetitive videos....I don't get it. This had to be one of the most repetitive videos I've ever done!! It was the same combos over and over. Especially the yoga section. It was still a good workout but I don't know how often I will do it as I was slightly annoyed with it the first time around. I will say that it was slightly more advanced and fast paced that some of the other pre-natal workouts. - posted by Cara on 10/6/2008
tried over 10 Prenatal dvds, this is the BEST
every prenatal dvd is repetitive, boring, and predictable, but FITMAMA is none of this, it is a GREAT workout. Leisa Hart does things her way, in a FUN, funky, effective manner, i love her teaching style, it is straight forward and gets the job done. She realizes moms are all over the place during pregnancy, and she does a wonderful job informing u what to expect and how to react to different feelings during pregnancy. The salsa dance is great, she teaches u the moves, does them again, and lets u groove your growing body to the music. Its the best pretnatal dvd, period! - posted by Yoliqua on 8/19/2008
Excellent!
Fitmama is excellent, the moves are not complicated, they kept me motivated during my pregnancy, and helped me stay focused on what is important, my new baby. I really enjoyed Leisa Hart's style, she was fun, and the background talent represented each stage of prego mommas, i loved being a "FITMAMA"!!!! - posted by Cindi Molley on 7/6/2008

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
