Time graph for Crunch: Cardio Salsa

Sensuous, non-stop Latin dance moves energized by a motivating, on-stage drummer. You’ll burn fat as you move to a fast-paced variety of different Latin steps — from classic merengue to “salsa funk.” Giselle Roque de Escobar who co-taught the “Zumba” videos, makes it surprisingly easy to follow with her clear cuing and consistent breakdown of each combo. You’ll begin with the basics, then add arms, maybe some turns, a few tempo variations and finally some sexy hip movements (hey, even if you miss a couple steps, the motivating drum beat will carry you through to the next move). You also get bright costumes and a colorful set, which just add to the vitality and excitement. ©2003. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Crunch: Cardio Salsa

My favourite salsa workout!
Certainly the best salsa/dance workout I've tried. Lots of fun, high energy, but not too difficult (great for a day when you don't feel like doing a super intense workout). The best part? You don't need to be a super coordinated dancer to do this one. - posted by Jessica on 8/19/2009
Great Salsa workout!
I'm a latina so believe me when I say that this is a great salsa workout. I've had this workout for a few years now. And I still love it. The music is great and it's some sexy, hip moving fun. - posted by Miriam on 7/4/2009
Not Bad but Not Great
I have had this workout for awhile but just got around to doing it. It is a very basic, easy to follow and repetitive workout. I found the constant showing of the drum/congo player extremely annoying. Sometimes the camera would be on him for 2 to 3 - 8 counts, but I will say that because the workout was so repetitive, you didn't miss much of the routine. The workout featured 5 combos and each combo had approximately 2 to 3 moves that repeated over and over until the next combo begin. I like latin dancing and for that reason I got some moderate enjoyment from the workout but this workout most likely will not find its way into my rotation again. - posted by Saundra on 4/6/2009
Not enough "cardio"
I got this DVD to add another cardio to my workout week. I found this video to not be challenging on a cardio level and I don't think the instructor is very good at guiding you through the process. - posted by Carrie on 12/27/2008
Sexy Salsa!
Just like Pam, I was tired of doing the same ol same cardio/weight workouts so I decided to add some flavor and sexiness to my workouts and this is it! Giselle is a cheerful and enthusiastic instructor. She keeps you motivated and makes you forget about the fact that you are exercising. Sexy and Fun. Good Job Giselle! - posted by D.J on 12/20/2008
Something Different
I have had this video a long time. I know it is rated beginner/inter and I now find it very easy to do I still enjoy the dancing and doing something different from time to time. I would recommend this to either a beginner or someone who wants something different for lighter days. - posted by cc on 10/29/2008

What fun!!
I get so tired and burned out doing the same cardio/weight training/interval training everyday, so I decided to start adding some fun dancing into my workouts, and I am having a blast!! This workout is fun and challenging. Not as challenging as some of my other workouts, but it gets my heart rate up and I really work my core while having fun!! - posted by Pam on 8/2/2008
Great intro to latin dancing, non intimidating
I bought this DVD several years ago, haven't done it for years but tried it today and really enjoyed it! Giselle's cueing is excellent and she goes through each move multiple times. She breaks down the steps so even those of us with two left feet can do it! The music is good, the mood is up beat and she's very encouraging. Doing this DVD will make other salsa moves easier in other DVD's. The section before the Latin Funk's choreography to me was difficult and it was difficult to do on carpet. There were also several other moves that were hard to do on carpet depending on how thick it is. Can't say that my heart rate got up there, but this was so much fun to do on an off/don't feel great day that it's worth adding to your rotation, even it is just occasionally. - posted by Emma on 7/15/2008
Fun Basic Aerobics
The moves are basic and fun. A refreshing break from the typical grinding techno aerobics video. If you want to pump up the intensity, just add wrist and ankle weights or additional chacha's and arms moves. Enjoy! - posted by Skinny Minnie on 7/3/2008

Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
