Time graph for Leslie Sansone's 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk
Anyone can do these indoor-walking moves — five fast-paced “miles” using no equipment (no “boosters”). It’s back to Leslie’s original fat-burning formula: a super-friendly instructor showing just four basic steps (marches, knee lifts, side steps and kicks). You can choose just one “mile” for your easier/time-crunched days or select all five for a calorie-blasting mega-workout. All the segments include optional arm motions and end with faster two-minute jogging sequences (also optional). But each mile is different — Leslie keeps you motivated by varying the exercisers, music, commentary and sequencing. On-screen timer. ©2008.

Leslie Sansone's 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk

Love It!
I have been working out with Leslie off and on for about three years but seriously since late 5/2010. When I started, I was very weak from weight loss surgery and lack of exercise. Within a week or two, I began to feel much better! I think Leslie is very good and I like the fact that she is obviously a Christian woman who loves people! I proudly own a good number of her DVDs and they are all different to me! I would really count myself fortunate if one day I could meet Leslie and let her know to her face that I appreciate her hard work and dedication to good health and how she has helped me do the same! - posted by Glenda on 8/29/2010
Good work out with the TV on mute!
Great workout, I mute the TV and turn on my own music. I wish there was the ability to turn off the verbal and just have music. As with all of Leslie's videos, she just talks too much. I do the same with this video as with all the walking videos, turn off the TV sound and turn on my own music. I have challenges with my knees and do not want to give up her videos because they are among the few that get the heart going without a lot of impact. Leslie, less talking!!!!!!!!!!! - posted by Arlene on 8/26/2010
Love Leslie!!
I love this workout. It is low impact but still very challenging for the intermediate exerciser. Leslie is a very knowledgeable and motivating instructor. I can do 5 miles and it does not feel like torture! It actually goes by really quickly! If you are looking for low impact but tough, and a very good all around instructor choose this video! - posted by Julia on 8/25/2010
Good "Walking" video
This walking workout is one of many that I have by Leslie Sansone. I am not sure, but, I think that I have a couple of the original walking workouts. This one does not disappoint. However, first of all, I like Leslie's introduction, where she talks about the many health benefits of just plain walking. That's an inspiration in itself. The good thing is you get results. I love the power walking at the end of each segment and the time just flies by so quickly. Such an affable instructor. - posted by Nancy on 8/24/2010
Works better with No sound!
I find that doing any of Leslie Sansones workouts is just fine when turning the sound off, putting on my ipod and just watching her. She just never knows when to shut up. Also, I agree with several people that Nicole is a very big distraction. Like a train wreck, you can't stop looking at her although it is awful. Her big red lips and grinning like a cheshire cat. The music is never good and seems to be repeated in several of her dvds. Surely, since she is milking everybody out of their money (by just doing the same moves over and over on all of her workouts) she could afford to do better research regarding music and background. I find that buying this DVD should be the only one that people should buy. Then you can just do how many miles you want. The actual walking is fine. I have no issues with that. It just seems the rest of it gets aggravating. - posted by mt on 8/19/2010
Great Workout!!
I absolutely love this 5 mile workout DVD! I try to do it 6 days a week, even if I don't do the full 5 miles I do what I can. - posted by Joyce on 8/19/2010
Good workout
I consider myself to be in decent shape and regularly workout using Jillian Michaels videos. I tried this 5 mile walk for some variation and it kicked my butt. Pretty quickly into it I was drenched in sweat and my heart rate was really up there. I was even sore the next day. I definitely did not expect that from a walk. Good video. - posted by Catherine on 8/16/2010
nice for a good walk
I work graveyard shift and very often stay up all night on my nights off - sometimes I feel like taking a walk but that's never a good idea at midnight so this DVD serves that purpose. I use two pound weights to put more into it. I'm taking off a star for a couple of distractions - one being the constantly blinking mile icon - a static display would have been fine. And while I appreciated Nicole's story, she herself was an extreme distraction in a couple of the miles - sporting bright red lipstick that highlighted her lips and mugging like a crazed hyena for the camera. Girl, take a cue from the other folk and just walk, OK? - posted by Susan W. on 8/14/2010
What a wonderful way to get fit over fifty
My guy and I tried gym memberships and one thing or another always happened and we never really were able to establish a routine. Leslie and company not only make our walk-out accessible, sometimes if we are in a rush in the morning we complete the 3 mile and in the afternoon we walk another 1 or 2 miles. I am 54 and he is 60 and we use 3 lb weights and have found this video to have a positive impact for fitness and health on our lives. Thanks Leslie! PS...We look forward to the positive energy in the am... - posted by Gayle on 8/12/2010
A Fast Pace
This is a really fast paced workout. If you are looking for something with some zip to it ... this is it. I personally prefer a little more sedate workout when she is alone or fewer people but the energy and expertise shines through and gets results and at the end of the day - that is what counts!!! - posted by Ruth on 8/10/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
