Time graph for Leslie Sansone: 3 Mile Slim & Sleek Walk
An indoor walking program with a Pilates-style focus on alignment and core engagement (the DVD also has a 12-minute “bonus” Pilates matwork segment). As in all Leslie’s workouts, you get energetic cuing and super-easy-to-follow moves. But this one also features new variations like backward marches and “power knees.” In addition, Leslie talks about the benefits of Pilates and incorporates its principles into many movements (e.g. “focus on your breath,” “draw your belly to your spine”). The last “mile” even includes some Pilates-inspired standing legwork. One-on-one cuing. ©2009. DVD has: Chapter menus, Music only option.

Leslie Sansone: 3 Mile Slim & Sleek Walk

Top Ten Faves....
I love this video. I bought it because first well it is Leslie how can you go wrong but primarily the Pilates aspect is what got my attention. I love her You Can Do Pilates from her You Can Do Series - it is an older series but I really like it. This one didn't disappoint. She used all the things I learned from her in You Can Do. This gets a lot of use. Awesome workout. - posted by Ruth on 8/10/2010
Really Like This One
This workout is great and Leslie, as usual, is very engaging. I like that she is very chatty because it keeps me listening, and thus, paying attention to what I am doing. I like that she incorporates some newer moves that are not in her other videos that I have. I like the knee ups with the jump going forward, and double step outs, and the walk/jog forward with the shifting left to right. I do this all jogging and it gets my heart rate up more. It's good that she is trying to keep her workouts fresh rather than same old, same old. I also like that in mile three, she does the squats and legwork and the hip work. Great job Leslie. I just wish she would come out with some more longer videos like her 5 mile ones. - posted by Jill Sherry on 7/23/2010
Super workout!
All of Leslie's video workouts are good, but this one is especially great. She moves along at a great pace and you don't even realize the time is passing so fast. I have about 6 or 8 of her walking videos and use them daily. It makes me feel so much better and I have more energy when I do the indoor walking. - posted by Linda on 6/24/2010
Leslie's Best!
I have many of her workout DVD's, but I feel this is Leslie at her BEST! You get a great workout with the combo walk and Pilates, and before you know it you have walked three miles. I think any age can use this workout because you can modify it to make it more or less challenging. The music is awesome and it makes you want to walk and dance! Way to go Leslie! - posted by Linda on 6/19/2010
Sam Old, Same Old
Nothing special about this one. Where are the pilates?-just at the end. Leslie really needs to change the moves and music, and the set is just plain boring. - posted by Monika on 6/19/2010
Great DVD
I like Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs because they're easy for me (at 59) to get a decent workout. I love the countdown clock ... it seems to make the time pass much quicker ... before I know it, I've walked for 45 minutes and gone 3 miles! The music is good and Leslie's peppy personality keep you enthusiastic about working out. I often play the DVD on my computer and watch my tv at the same time ... I just have to be careful about whiplash when I'm doing it this way. - posted by Judy on 6/3/2010
Leslie Sansone's 3 Mile Slim & Sleek Walk
I really enjoy this workout. The music is great. Leslie is still Leslie (chatty) but it's okay because the miles fly by and she needs to announce the next steps (especially for those of us who are "mature") so I don't miss any of the steps. She also adds two new combinations so it's not the same basic four steps. I am unable to do the Pilates portion due to back problems, but the walk is great. Plus, you can decide if you want the music only, so if you don't need instructions, you can choose that method. All in all, I really like this video. - posted by Vicki on 5/27/2010
Great workout
I love this video. I like the countdown in minutes for each of the three miles -- it keeps me motivated to finish all three miles. I love the focus on correct posture and keeping the tummy muscles pulled in when walking. I work up a good sweat. I don't have strong knees but I can do this tape. I can do it low or high aerobics. Time goes by really fast with this video. Walking really agrees with my body. - posted by Elisa on 5/27/2010
Love it
I love that she has added a couple of new moves. I have most of Leslie's videos so it was nice to see something a little different. - posted by Carol on 5/14/2010
Great new video
I just love Leslie. I know she talks too much and is not always precise in her count, but she has nice solid workouts. This one is one of my favorites. I like it when she does the workout alone. It's fun and the time goes by fast. - posted by Gisela on 5/4/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
