Time graph for Tracey Staehle's Cardio Kickbox Challenge
Non-stop, high-energy moves guaranteed to make you sweat — this really is a “kickbox challenge.” Every combination starts off quickly, then builds to an even greater intensity (e.g. faster tempo, larger range of motion, higher plyo-jumps). The moves are classic kickboxing/boxing. If your hands aren’t punching or jabbing, they’re blocking. If your legs aren’t kicking or jumping, they’re shuffling. Super-smooth transitions with excellent cuiing by three different instructors (Tracey, Josef Matthews and Jericho McDuffle). Each one has a distinct style and expertise (e.g. Josef demos the agility drills). Solid production, filmed in a boxing gym. ©2010. DVD has: 5 premixes (20 to 45 min. alternate workouts), Chapter menus, Wide screen.

Tracey Staehle's Cardio Kickbox Challenge

Does the job!
So happy I made this purchase. The intensity is all there in this workout without you feeling like you "have" to push yourself, you just want to! The moves are simple to learn and the instruction is great, from each instructor. A huge calorie burner and a big thumbs up! - posted by Cari on 9/5/2010
gave it a 2nd try and love it!
yes, I agree about the cueing..I think she thinks you're used to her and what she's going to do. But, the moves are simple enough to catch on to. She's different from Cathe, Kelly C-M, Amy Bento-maybe more serious? Production is poor at best but, if you can get over that-it's a fantastic workout! I had a hard time not staring at the pig-tails. - posted by rebecca on 8/16/2010
Hard Workout
I am a kickbox video fanatic. I have almost all of Cathe's videos. I love high intensity and feeling sore after a workout. The video is not the highest quality of production (picture quality is a little blurry some times) and it is somewhat hard to learn. It took me two or three workouts to really learn the moves. Once I learned the moves it is one of my most intense workout videos yet. - posted by Rachel on 8/13/2010
CARDIO KICKBOX CHALLENGE FITBYTRACEY
Finally, a cardio DVD that makes me work as hard as my gym classes. YAY! I had a little trouble with Tracey's cuing, she cues as if you are used to her routines. But she needs to cue the new people as well. I think Josef's routines and the way he breaks them down is amazing! And I especially liked Jericho's ski/lunge set - it was so intense! All in all, from 1 - 10, I would rate this a 9! Great! - posted by Cecile on 7/14/2010
Up there with Cathe's Kick Max
I am a huge Cathe fan and tried this workout because I've heard such great things about it. Great energy and this workout results in a huge calorie burn. My previous favorite was Cathe's Kick Max because it burns so many calories but I burned more with this one! I also liked that it is truly a kickboxing workout. Well done. - posted by Mary on 6/28/2010
No-Nonsense, Great Workout!
I'm very happy with this workout. Awesome workout with great direction! I've had harder, more intense workouts but it is what you make of it. If you push it and follow proper form you will feel it. I feel strong and powerful after this workout. A must buy!! - posted by Lisa on 6/17/2010
Intense
This is a solid workout. It fills every void in my fitness DVD collection. I like the trio of instructors, the intensity, momentum, music and choreography. I loved the production. The set is great, very appropriate for the workout and nice clear production value. This is one of my all time favorite DVDs!!! - posted by Suzie on 6/9/2010
Tremendous Workout
If you are looking for a real kickboxing workout that doesn't fill up time with shuffles and grapevines and foo foo non sense look no further! Everything about this workout is right on. Great intensity, knowledgeable instructors, lots of creative moves and it keeps your attention throughout. A definite keeper! - posted by Dana on 6/2/2010
Solid workout, poor production values
I have pulled this workout out three times, and I've had to put it back three times. I finally got through most of it the last time, and I must say that this workout missed the mark. The workout is high intensity and looks like it would be fun, but I cannot get over the shoddy cuts and edits. This is a kickboxing workout, I do not need to see one persons face every five seconds, no matter how pretty she is. I need to be able to see the people moving so I know what do to. Also the cueing is late or missed quite a bit. I think Tracey would have an excellent workout on her hands if she stepped up the production values. - posted by Jennifer on 5/25/2010
Kicks Butt
I love, love, love this workout! It's high energy, fast paced (without being too complicated) and full of cool moves. I love Tracey, Josef and Jericho, all three instructors are unique in their own way and lend a neat perspective to this workout, they keep you engaged and truly make it fun. - posted by Deb on 5/25/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Premixes
X
These are alternate workouts created by the manufacturer. They use the same content as the main program (i.e. the very same video footage). But the sections are re-edited into pre-made alternative workouts that you select from a menu. These are often condensed versions of the main workout.
Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Floor aerobics
X
