Certified instructor description: Separate club, Latin and Caribbean dance segments in a high-energy, high-excitement fat-burner. The detailed “Firm-style” cuing makes it super-easy-to-follow, so you’ll always be in-step and on-pace. Each section begins with a short “warm-up” where you’ll catch the rhythm and learn the moves. Then you’ll add the variations, boost the tempo and put it all together into fun little combos (with lots of creative arm movements and varied directional changes). The club segment is the fastest paced with the most “traditional” steps. The Latin portion ranges from Cha Chas and Salsas to shimmies and “hip pops” (“let me see those sexy hips”). The Caribbean sequence includes Cumbias, hip shakes and “ocean waves.” ©2012. DVD has: Chapter menus.

The Firm: Cardio Dance Club

Disappointed in this one
I also am an avid Firm user (since 1989) and have most of their videos and enjoy them. I find this video to be hard to follow and the music boring. Didn't feel like I got a workout at all. I guess if I want to dance I should just go to a club. Would be more fun. I have ordered often from Collage and this is the first time I will return a video. Hope their guarantee is as promised. - posted by Rita on 3/6/2013
Love the video
Jennifer makes dancing fun. I am from the Caribbean and enjoy the moves. I take the video when I am away from home and "learn" some new dance moves while burning calories. - posted by Jacqueline on 1/31/2013
Firm Cardio Dance
I love this workout it is a change of pace from the firm express and helps me mix it up a bit. - posted by Cinda on 1/25/2013
Awesome video
LOVE this dance workout dvd!!! Definitely fantastic!!! - posted by Mindi on 1/24/2013
Too fast cueing, too many steps in series
tried this dvd for the first time the other day and I did not like it at all. No actual warm-up, cueing is poor, and general steps in a sequence were too numerous. Would not recommend. Definitely a disappointment for a regular Firm fan. Cardio Dance Slimdown is a far better choice. - posted by Donna on 11/29/2012

Love the FIRM workout DVD's
I am now middle-age, and prefer to enjoy exercise. So I look for aerobic dance style exercise DVD's and this one delivers. I especially like that there are 3 separate workouts, and they are not lengthy, which means I have time to do them. - posted by Elizabeth on 10/25/2012
Shake it!
I got this one for the times I can't get to Zumba. I did the whole hour and found it to be fun and challenging! I want to master those hips! Can't wait to do it again .. - posted by Cyndi on 10/5/2012
Good beg/int dance workout
I bought this to have a good beg/int level low impact dance workout and that is what it delivers. Of the 3 sections, Latin is the lowest intensity, then the Caribbean, then the club is the most intense. Because of that, I do the workouts in a different order than they are listed on the dvd. I think Jennifer's cuing is very good, and I couldn't care less if she's smiling. My only aggravation is that with many dvd's with multiple short workouts, there is a separate warm up/stretch and cooldown for each 20-min block, so doing all 3 blocks can cause some choppiness, but I just keep doing more cardio moves for the 2nd and 3rd warmups, and fast forward thru the 1st and 2nd cooldowns for a good 45 min low impact workout. - posted by Cathy on 7/26/2012
Love It

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
