Ballet Body: Lower Body Workout |
Post workout stretch is awesome |
| VoiceOver and instructions are soothing and clear. Exercises are challenging but doable. Post workout stretch is long and stretches the body in a good way with moves that I have never done before. I feel very limber afterwards. I've been doing Jillian Michaels' body revolution (love it) for 1 year and am 52. - posted by Karin on 6/7/2013 |

    Not for advanced exercisers |
| I am not sure whether I would recommend Leah Sarago’s Lower Body for advanced exercisers. I was looking a tough, advanced DVD for my thighs and calf. I have been doing squats, lunges, deadlifts for years and was beginning to bulk up. For the last 5 months I have done Buns of Steel which completely transformed my buns and also assisted my thighs and calf. I get the feeling of having worked my buns, thighs and calf muscles after Buns of Steel. I did not get the feeling that I have worked out during the doing Leah Sarago’s Lower Body and afterwards. That’s why I think this DVD is not for someone who already has strong legs. I am going to stick to this DVD for 3 months to see if it elongates my muscles as her BB system claims and write a review about that later. On another note, Leah Sarago’s Upper Body is excellent even if you are advanced exerciser and have lifted weights for years. Also, I could not help noticing that although Leah gives clear instructions and she is professional, her personality on screen lacks warmth, cheerfulness and encouragement that many fitness instructors have. Instructor’s on screen personality matters to some exercisers, especially beginners who are starting out. - posted by Lorelei on 5/30/2013 |

    Love it!! |
| This is my first Barre workout. I have studied various dance techniques and am a past fitness instructor. I love, love, this workout. Recently, I have incorporated Pilates into my weekly routine and also wanted to use the Barre as a Pilates substitute. I have always been more of a step, cardio, and weight junkie, but I really love the way Pilates and this Barre workout truly give you a workout from the inside out. I love the focus on body alignment which is something I always emphasized as an instructor. With the Barre and Pilates I have found a fitness category that I can do for the rest of my life; I am almost 47 years old. Leah's video is not exciting, but it is Barre, not a high energy aerobics class. I am an intermediate/advanced exerciser and I was completely challenged. My heart rate was up, and my legs were shaking. I think it is so important to do various types of workouts, and with Collage, there is no excuse for not incorporating variety into your fitness routine. At this point in my fitness journey, I "supplement" my home workouts with a visit to a fitness studio for a boot camp or Zumba class about once a week, but my true workouts come from my collection of Collage videos and the excellent instructors they bring into my home. Leah is no exception. Her form and her cuing is superb. Great workout. I now want to purchase the rest of her workouts. I use my elliptical for my "barre". I put 15lb weights on the pedals. It works great. - posted by Kristin on 5/27/2013 |

    Awesome |
| workout for the lower body! Thorough stretching at the end. This really works the hips in ways I've never gotten from Physique 57 or the harder Bar Method (Super Sculpting 1 and 2, or Dancer's Body). It is not fast paced; however it's so hard that I'm breathing hard and sweating while doing it. Worth getting for sure. - posted by Julia on 5/7/2013 |

    What an Awesome Workout |
| This is a really different great video. I've done Cathe Freidrich's ballet barre workout and was looking for another ballet workout. I am an advanced exerciser and I found this workout to be challenging. I was sore afterwards! Leah's cueing is very clear and it is motivational to be following an instructor who is so fit. I love the femininity of the ballet moves. The set is very tranquil and peaceful. Yet my muscles were screaming! It was fun....I'm going to buy her other workouts too! - posted by Cara on 3/25/2013 |

My new favorite barre DVD!!! |
| I love this DVD! I really felt the burn but it didn't hurt my knees. I am an advanced exerciser and was looking for something to challenge me and this really did that for me. I worked up a sweat and was shaking! Some barre dvd's can be challenging but not throughout the whole program. I find that there are times when they can be easy and I am wasting my time. This DVD did not waste my time and I would recommend this to anyone who wants an advanced workout and still be challenged. I loved every minute that my legs were shaking. Leah needs to make more dvd's for advanced exercisers. - posted by Angelina on 3/13/2013 |

    Wow!!!!!! |
| I do most all barre workouts and it takes a lot for me to be sore the next day, this workout is beyond challenging (in a good way) she does moves I have never done in any Barre class, I can't wait to see the results after a few months. I highly recommend this workout!!! - posted by Tammy on 1/24/2013 |

Never have gotten results like these before |
| I've been working out for over 25 years and even taught aerobics way back when they wore leg warmers, and worked as a personal trainer for awhile a few years ago. I have also gone for years at a time NOT working out. The last year was one of them due to tremendous personal stress and divorce. Getting back in the saddle, I started doing barre workouts for the first time. How did I never hear of this stuff before? Its like a miracle workout! I have never gotten results like I have from these workouts and I only am doing 30 min, 3 times a week! This one I did the first time 2 days ago and did only parts as I'm experimenting with keeping workouts under 30 min, and it was still really effective. In two barre workouts, a pair of pants that I couldn't button previously buttoned right up and after three workouts they were even a little LOOSE this morning! Barre workouts are challenging, but that's why they are so effective. I call them "the miracle workout." Do yourself a favor and don't wait as long as I did to try them! Leah is really prolific (check out her website) and creative as an instructor also. Plus, just look at her body. Guess she knows what she's doing! - posted by Theresa on 1/18/2013 |
