Time graph for Squeeze with Tracy Effinger
Graceful exercises that uniquely integrate isometrics into Pilates, ballet, yoga and traditional toning. It’s a proven technique that maximizes the results from every movement. The isometric elements come in two varieties: short pulses and static squeezes (e.g. pulsed, short-range-of-motion squats or squeezing a ball between your knees to work your inner thighs). The transitions are fluid and well-structured; you’ll just seamlessly proceed from one body part to the next. Tracy’s cuing and form are exceptional; she’s no-nonsense, but always friendly. Some moves work against a wall. Also has 41 minutes of bonus targeted toning. Very dramatic, film-quality production. Requires 2 to 5 lb. dumbbells and a volleyball-size ball (a medicine ball will work). ©2007. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen, Region 1.

Squeeze with Tracy Effinger

Great work out
I just did the 30 minute power squeeze for the first time today. I combined it with a 30 minute cardio tape and it felt like the perfect work out. You really feel this deep in your muscles. I'm an intermediate exerciser and while I made it all the way through without dropping a repetition, it wasn't easy. I will work up to the 60 minute version---I think it's going to be one hec of a muscle toner. Some here didn't like the stretches between sets, but I loved them. If you're giving it your all your muscles will be burning after most sets and the stretches feel good, although they are not easy stretches either. But they are refreshing and give you a chance to go into the next set without your muscles trembling. Also, unlike some here, I thought the ab workout was killer, but I always find abs the hardest. All in all I think this is a must have video if you want to discover something new---new kinds of movements, different rhyhthm, different approach. I like a lot of variety in my work outs, but I'm tempted to rotate this one in three times a week for awhile. I have the feeling I'd really see results if I did. - posted by Ruby on 11/12/2009
New approach!
I really like the inventive approach to muscle toning. There are some moves I've never seen before. However, there are a few things I was a little disappointed with. First, I bought this DVD, because I was looking for a DVD that uses the mini ball. She rarely uses the ball at all. Also, Tracy doesn't always workout to the music. I am a dancer, so not going with the music seems unnatural. If you don't care about the music not being in sync with your movements, you'll love this workout. I would also like to see more ab focused exercises. Despite these downfalls, I love to do this workout. - posted by Jessica on 10/17/2009
No joke!
Who would've thought that a 2 lb weight (what I use) could fry your arms so well!? By the time we get to the triceps section, I have to drop the weights entirely and do without. I feel this workout--all over--the next day, but particularly in my triceps, outer glutes and waist. I've not used the express premix, only the full length workout. I really enjoy (if pain can be enjoyed) this workout!! It has definitely earned a place in my rotation. - posted by Alison on 10/15/2009
Love this DVD
This is a lot harder than it looks like it will be. I routinely use heavy weights, and three pound weights were killer for me during this. (However one pound was too light particularly during triceps so I think two pounds should do it). Love the leg and butt work, the variety with the two pre-mixed workouts plus bonus features. I didn't love the abs section either, but that is my one complaint. I love the stretching and I have never been one to stretch without being forced to (though I need it) so all the stretches right in the middle of things works great for me. Can't wait to try Squeeze Stronger. - posted by Melissa on 10/12/2009
This workout's the Ticket
I have been looking for a strength training video that doesn't require a lot of equipment but provides a challenge. The Squeeze fits the bill. I am still sore from two days ago when I did the workout for the second time. I'm very optimistic about the results I will get from doing this workout consistently. - posted by Tracy on 10/7/2009
AMAZING!
Wow is right!! This is different that anything I've tried, and super challenging. I just did the power squeeze which is 30min and will have to work my way up to the full squeeze workout. So glad to find something like this that is full of different exercises. This will be great in my rotation!! - posted by Stacey on 3/20/2009
love this dvd
WOW what a change of pace after using cathes, jari type w/o for over 10 years this is such a pleaseant no dread workout. There are so many ways to use this w/o I am really enjoying this. Minimul equipment is fantastic what a big difference it makes looking forward to a working out. Can't wait to try her other dvds. i will use this for a few months then change up./ I am hooked!!! - posted by deborah on 3/9/2009
Wow
I did this dvd for the first time with 3 lb weights and wow! I am an intermediate exerciser and this kicked my butte in a good way. This is a great workout. If you are used to using heavier weights this will be a whole different workout for you. It is fabulous. I can't wait to do it again. You must get this. - posted by Bopper on 2/22/2009
Great workout - very versatile with excellent add ons
This is a new style of working out for me and I have seen my body drop 11 + inches in 6 weeks doing a rotation of all of Tracy's workouts. And used to lift heavy! I don't think I'll go back to that again. This workout has excellent add ons - her flat abs section is really tough. - posted by Lisa on 2/11/2009
Fantastic Change
I like to mix things up with my workouts; but, when she picked up 3 lb weights I thought this would be a joke. I soon dropped my weight and OMG! This is well worth it. It works different muscles and you really feel the burn. - posted by Bri on 2/6/2009
