Time graph for 10 Minute Solution: Yoga for Beginners
A gentle introduction to yoga — the workout is separated into five 10-minute segments (so it’s easy to learn and easy to do). The DVD even comes with a 6-foot yoga strap that helps foster proper form on the flexibility-focused poses. The program features a well-sequenced mix of both yoga and fitness-style moves (from sun salutations and down dogs to planks and hamstring stretches). Each segment emphasizes a specific goal: balance/flexibility, strength/toning, revitalization, core strength and stress relief. The DVD can be programmed to play any segment in any order. ©2008. DVD has: Close captions, Region 1.

10 Minute Solution: Yoga for Beginners

Good Yoga DVD
I enjoy this DVD for a relaxing yoga workout. I am at inter/adv level and I enjoy doing this for a change of pace. My boyfriend had never done yoga and wanted to try it. So we started doing this DVD together and he enjoys it too. Eventually we may get a more advanced yoga tape, yet this one works out well for us for now. - posted by Jane on 10/10/2009
Good strength training
I use this program 2-3 times weekly. On workdays, I do 3 segments; on off days, I do all 5. I like the versatility. I don't feel as if I "didn't do the whole thing" if I only do 2-3 segments. Sometimes, if I don't feel like exercising, I tell myself I will only do one segment - but then it feels so good, I go ahead and do more! - posted by Brenda on 9/21/2009
Sorry to be the lone dissenter
I bought this because I wanted a series of short add-ons to other workouts. While I don't doubt that the instructor is quite good, I find that I don't enjoy this workout at all. The ten minutes segments just seem too short to gain any real benefit even if one is a beginner. I have tried to do this dvd several times and I still can't learn to like it. - posted by Maria on 1/19/2009
Loved IT!!!
I bought this DVD because I aspire to look like Mickie James, the WWE Diva, and I was researching her fitness routine. The only thing I could find consistently mentioned was that she practiced yoga every day without exceptions. I used to be a dancer, but I stopped at seventeen and I'm out of shape. I tried this and I've felt muscles in places I never have before. I feel better and less stressed every day that I practice this DVD. It wasn't stressful on my back or my knees which I have had problems with because of multiple dance injuries when I was fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen, in truth I think they feel much better than they used to. I would recommend this DVD to anyone, as long as you have that push-through-it attitude you'll get the workout of your life and the most wonderful peaceful feeling too, which I can't really explain. - posted by Kristin on 11/4/2008
It felt so good!
I know this is for beginners but I'm an intermediate/advanced yoga practioner. I thought this would be a nice easy day addition. I was right on. I did the energizing yoga flow and felt great afterwards. This would be perfect for newbies or for those wanting a nice easier workout. However, I feel newbies would definitely have room to grow. A++ in my book. - posted by Christy on 10/12/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
