Certified instructor description: Two ultra-effective techniques: kickboxing and faster/slower intervals. Still easy to follow and still lots of fun, Leslie Sansone has simply added some interesting elements to her usual programs (for extra variety and extra motivation). “Walk Kick” builds confidence and self-esteem by integrating basic punches, jabs and kicks within Leslie’s usual four steps. “Walk Jog” alternates regular Walk Aerobic moves with faster, slightly higher-impact intervals — it will raise your workout intensity for quicker results. ©2001. Great Workout
I think these tapes are great. You can make them as intense as you want. Highly recommend. - posted by Tammy on 10/6/2006
I love Leslie!
I think these videos are great! They are a nice alternative to her other walking videos and both are tough enough! I have a bad ankle and 2 bad knees so finding some type of aerobics that doesn't leave me limping is hard! I'm 44 and have enjoyed Leslie's walking videos for years. These are a nice addition to my collection. I think those of you who reviewed and commented they're not tough enough are probably younger and perhaps don't have injuries you have to deal with. My heart rate zooms up and I get a nice sweat with both of these workouts, INJURY FREE! - posted by Lisa on 8/23/2006
GREAT INTERVAL W/O REVISITED
I just completed an intense total body workout concentrating on my upper body today, but I still needed some cardio. I dusted off Walk & Jog (which hadn't been done in months) and added some intensity to each move and WOW, I really got a great workout! It was just enough to get my cardio in (around 30 minutes). Walk and Kick is good too while upping the intensity. Both are good short interval workouts that act as great add-ons or just when you're not feeling like doing much! - posted by MRS on 6/10/2006
Great Interval Cardio Workouts
I found Walk/Kick to be a great interval Strength/Cardio workout. I say this because I used WEIGHTED GLOVES to do this workout. That is how this workout can be made intense and an Intermediate/Advanced level. All the punching and kicking w/the weighted gloves kept me burning fat and my heart rate up in my zone. Alot of people say this workout is not intense. It wouldn't be if they didn't add the WEIGHTED GLOVES. What a difference this addition has made. Walk/Jog is a great high intensity cardio workout. There is no need for further embellishments on this workout. If you are jogging in the intervals you will stay in your fat burning zone. I enjoy both workouts. I feel these can easily fit into any rotation. Interval workouts are a great addition to any workout routine. These both are intermediate/advanced. - posted by on 4/14/2006
Just What I Needed!
I have Leslie's Walk Away the Pounds series and find them a bit too easy at times. I have MS and the easier tapes are wonderful for my "bad" days. The "Walk Jog" (which is my favorite) is just what I needed to jump start my workouts to the next level and keep me motivated. The Walk Kick is also a lot of fun although I don't think it's quite as aerobic as the other. I highly recommend these tapes to all beginner and intermediate excercisers. They are definite motivators to get started and/or keep going! Thank you Leslie and thank you Collage!!! - posted by Lori on 1/31/2006
Nice Surprise
I really was not expecting too much with these videos, and they were a very nice surprise. I would rank myself as an advanced exerciser. I found the workouts easy, but a nice change of pace. I will definately work them into my video rotation for my "off" days. I could easily bump up the intensity of some moves and then just as easily stick with the cast. I really enjoyed the music of Walk and Kick. - posted by Sarah on 12/28/2005
Good For Beginners
I don't know why this was rated as Intermediate by Collage. I am an Intermediate exerciser and barely sweated during the entire workout. It's a good workout but would be best for beginners. I will just use this for a really light day or when I'm a bit sick. If you want Intermediate level workouts by Leslie, check out Walk&Jog and all her 3-4 Mile workouts from the WATP series: 3 Mile WATP Original, 3 Mile WATP for Abs,3 Mile WATP Express Advanced, 3 Mile Super Fat Burner and 4 Mile Super Challenge are all great! - posted by Katrina on 3/10/2005
Walk and Kick is Awesome!!!
I love Leslie's Walk and kick video, if you like kickboxing moves but not as intense as Tae Bo you'll like this video, it made me sweat and my arms felt it the next day, not really sore but I could feel it a little, she does a good job with the moves so it's easy for anyone to do. If you like Leslie and light kickboxing you'll love this workout. - posted by Lindsey on 2/28/2005
My Favorite Leslie Sansone
I think this set has use for all fitness levels. I am an advanced exerciser who was looking for something on a recovery day, or as a light add-on to a more intense workout. I purchased Leslie Sansone's Walk & Kick and Walk & Jog on DVD (only available here at Collage in VHS) and must say I'm pleased with my purchase. It's quite a versatile little set. Each workout is roughly 30-minutes. I must usually modify them to get more intensity, but it's really very easy to do. Another bonus is that I did Walk & Kick on my rebounder (jogging on my rebounder instead of walking) and discovered that's a fine rebounder workout, too! Overall, thumbs up. After trying several walking DVDS by other instructors, I find I enjoy Leslie's simple format because it can be modified to increase intensity. I have not tried the third VHS in this series, so I cannot comment on it. - posted by Michelle E. on 2/9/2005
Worth the Money for Sure!
Am 61, started with the Senior Video by Leslie, did it with weights, progressed on to these, absolutely love the Walk and Jog one!! Love the Walk and Kick one too, do them and the 3-mile power walk (with weights) and am doing great, can really FEEL the body shaping up. Leslie is chatty, but so what, these are low impact that I can and will do. Being 30 minutes, they sure go fast. HIGHLY RECOMMEND these along with the 3-mile Power Walk Video. Sure wish she would do a couple more of FAST WALKING for about 30 minutes. Good buy, great workouts! - posted by Linda on 8/15/2004

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
