Vijay Vad, MD, practicing for more than 15 years, is a Sports Medicine specialist at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, a faculty member at Weill Cornell Medical College, and the author of several books, including Back Rx. As well as treating thousands of patients, from professional athletes to couch potatoes, he is actively involved with clinical research into the causes and treatments for arthritis. Stephanie Culen, a New York City-based instructor, was twice named best yoga teacher by New York magazine. She has been practicing yoga and movement for over 25 years.
