Challenging!
I am a huge fan of the 10 Minute Solutions and this DVD is no exception. Suzanne is a great motivator and instructor. There are five abs sections on the DVD: Flat Belly Fast, Pilates Perfect Abs, Belly Fat Blaster, Ab Ripper and Six Pack Abs. Your midsection is attacked every which way from every angle possible (the planks alone will have your abs burning in no time!). I love that the DVD allows you to customize your workout. When I am pressed for time, I do one or two segments...if I am in the mood for an all out ab workout, I do them all. Perfect for an intermediate to advanced level. - posted by Victoria on 2/19/2009
It works
I have other 10 minute workouts and have enjoyed them. This one did not disappoint me at all. There was maybe one workout that I did not like. This will definitely get you results!
I gave this video 4 out of 5 stars because I liked 4 out of the 5 10 minute segments...the segment with all the squats disappointed me...I like to do a segment before my regular workout (which involves about 45 minutes of cardio/toning)...and I was wanting all ab work not squats...but the other 4 segments are good...my favorite is the pilates section and I noticed results in about 2 weeks! - posted by T on 5/20/2008

The perfect mix of ab workouts!!!
This dvd is one of my greatest purchases ever! It has the perfect mix of ab moves! My favorites are the Flat Belly Fast (planks, etc) and Abs Ripper (Suzanne's fave moves). This video is a must-have!
This video is great. The 10 min. sections work great for me because I have a baby and she takes short naps. Susanne is an excellent instructor, she explains the exercises very well, her cuing is flawless and she keeps you motivated. I love her! She has to do more videos, please! Works better than the rest!

I liked it
This is my second 10 Minute Solution DVD. I liked this one. There is great variety in the sections. Some of the moves were very effective. I wish she wouldn't have done a warm up in every section. It wasn't long but most of us doing these add them on to other DVD's and we are already warmed up or we do it in advance. Overall it was worth the money and I will be using this one. Blast it!
This is my first 10 minute solution video, and I really enjoyed the flexibility of it. You can do the whole video as I did for a tough workout, or you can do only the segements that you like the best. All the segements are creative and beneficial. I'm 47 and an intermediate to advanced exerciser. Most of the exercises were doable and some were really challenging. I really got a lot out it. I would not recommend it someone who is inexperienced with exercise or Pilates. Now I'd like to get other 10 minute videos. - posted by Stacey on 10/24/2007

Reading a Time Graph

Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Programmable chapters

At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
Level

Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact

Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography

Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis

Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning

Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
