Time graph for 10 Minute Solution: Kettlebell Ultimate Fat Burner
A solid workout that shows “kettlebell” moves without a kettlebell (the instructor only uses a dumbbell). So, even if you haven’t yet bought a kettlebell, you can still enjoy the benefits of the booming kettlebell workout trend. Dr. Michele Olson makes it work by focusing on the kettlebell-style acceleration/deceleration elements in every movement. Her form is flawless and her one-on-one cuing is very easy to follow. The DVD features five 10-minute segments. The first includes both aerobics and toning; the other four each tone a specific body area. You can program the DVD to play any segment in any order. Requires a 3 to 10 lb. dumbbell or kettlebell. ©2008. DVD has: Programmable chapters, Close captions, Region 1.

10 Minute Solution: Kettlebell Ultimate Fat Burner

Kettleball workout-10 minute solution
I really like the kettleball Ultimate Fat Burner video. It is a great workout especially since it mixes cardio and weight training, which is a time saver.I usually mix and match this video with my other 10 minute solution videos. I have tried other kettleball videos and I think this one is he best. - posted by Regina on 8/12/2010
Great Total Workout
This is now my go-to full body workout! The compound moves and kettlebell style approach is unlike any other DVD in my collection. The 10 Minute format is also one that works well for me! If anyone is looking for an excellent functional DVD that also provides cardio, this is it! Great, great, great on my legs as well. - posted by Ronnie on 7/2/2010
10 Minute Solution Kettlebell Ultimate
I returned this video as Michele Olson hardly cued her moves at all. I watched this video and for the most part all I heard was "you can do it". - posted by Vivian on 7/1/2010
Might be my new favorite workout
This is probably a near perfect workout. It gets my heartrate up a little and even though I'm using only a 5 lb weight, I feel like I'm getting a total body workout. No dread factor, the ten minute segments go very quickly, and Michelle Olson has a great style as an instructor. This is a true intermediate workout. I feel like I'm working hard but not overdoing it. I like the idea of high reps and low weight and the total body moves. This workout is functional fitness at its best. It will make it into my rotation quite frequently. - posted by Mary Anne on 5/14/2010
FANTASTIC!!
I find this workout energetic, fun and for a very short 10 minutes I work up a great sweat!! Well recommended if your short on time and want a great, quick workout! - posted by Patty on 4/2/2010
10 Min. Solution: Kettlebell
I got a really good work out from this dvd. It's a keeper! I was sweating and getting my heart pumping in a short time. Nicely executed moves by the instructor! - posted by Marilyn on 4/2/2010
Good workout
I have been using this workout disc since October (it is now March) although I only bought it from Collage recently. I find the 10 minute increments to be very convenient to do. Ms Olson sets a moderate pace and is a good "personal trainer." It has helped my core strength and does burn calories for sure. If your knees are good then this is a disc you can do. I have plantar fasciitis problems so the lunges are a little problematic but even they can be performed but not as deeply. All in all a nice training set that is easy to keep up and easy to work into other exercise regimens (walking, bicycling). I am a 63 year old diabetic male and the workouts have helped me keep to my 30 minutes of exercise per day routine. If you are younger or more fit you only need to increase the number of 10 minute intervals or kettlebell weight to optimize your workout. - posted by Milton on 3/19/2010
Not a true kettlebell workout!!
First of all, the only kettlebell you will see is on the DVD cover! The entire workout is done with a dumbbell, which for me was very disappointing. I wanted to see an instructor using a KB because some moves do not translate to or from KB to DB, especially snatches with overhead press. Because of that one move alone, I had to see my chiropractor! Although you get a relatively okay all over workout, stick with a DB. - posted by Lynda on 1/18/2010
Much better than Kettleworx
I really like this video. I've done the whole 6 week Kettleworx program and liked it, though I never really felt that I was getting that much cardio. Then, I tried this workout. MUCH better than Kettleworx. I finally "get" the whole body/strength/cardio fusion thing that kettlebell devotees talk about. I think I'm going to be addicted to kettlebells from here on in. Plus, this is a really time-effective workout. Fun! - posted by Ruth on 11/5/2009
Really Good
Good series of workouts. 10 minute format works well for intense exercise which is why I love this brand for this and Boot Camp style workouts. Clever to create a workout where you can use alternative equipment. Good. Really good! - posted by RHONDA on 10/29/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Programmable chapters
X
At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
