10 Minute Solution: Knockout Body
|Fun and Effective Instructor|
|Jessica has fast become one of my favorite instructors. She's upbeat, always friendly and encouraging, but most importantly she gives good reminders throughout her workouts to focus on the body parts being worked which makes the workout all that much more effective in my book. Her workouts are always thorough, working every body part by the end of the workout and she picks some of the best locations for her back drops. |I'm so glad I bought this video. It was on sale, so I didn't have high expectations. My first experience with it made me an instant fan, so I plan to buy other 10 minute solutions. Went out and bought a set of 1.5 lb(each) gloves, so now it's a real heart pounder, plus a strength training workout. - posted by Deanne on 2/8/2014|
|Some Good Stuff Here|
|I've had this workout for a few years and I learned to do general kickboxing-style workouts from it. I like the two sections that are aerobically focused the best and use those the most. The upper body section is okay. The kickstart(?) section has balancing and some lower body moves--I think it could have been better. (This is not a muscle toning dvd, by the way.) I gave up on the ab section early on--it's just beyond me. But I use the other four sections pretty regularly. (I mix and match sections of different kickboxing workouts.) As these 10 Minute Solution workouts go, I think it's a good deal. I use this more than any other 10 Min Solution dvd I have. - posted by Janine on 1/8/2014|
|This is what I've been searching for! I'm new to kickboxing and have been looking for a workout that was not totally beginner, but more "light intermediate" and not too advanced. This workout has it all, good form instruction, cueing and I worked up a good sweat. So glad I lucked up and got it on sale. |Can't get any better than this! All 5 segments are awesome! Too bad I could get this DVD around the time when they had the matching weighted gloves box set. But I use the same weighted gloves I purchased from somewhere else to do this DVD and Billy Blanks' TAEBO Power! Jessica Smith's cues are clear, friendly and motivating. Not a moment to waste with these workouts! If 10 minutes is all you have, Knockout Body will deliver a great workout in that short amount of time, which is what I love about the series in general! - posted by Pedro on 12/20/2013|

|I love this workout and I love Jessica Smith... Easy to follow and each 10 minute workout leaves you in a sweat.... The gloves are such a bonus... Would recommend this DVD to anyone who loves kickboxing, loves to have fun while working out and loves to end their workouts in a sweat.... A+++

|Unique & FUN Kickboxing Routines|
|This dvd has five 10 minute ab routines on it. Though the yoga one is not entirely ab work IMO. As with all 10 Min Solutions w/o's each segment includes a short warmup and cooldown. The segments include:
Crunch Free Abs: this segment is actually done on the floor not standing, which surprised me. You dont do any crunches though, I would say its pilates inspired and includes some standard pilates ab work and balance work.
Yoga Abs: a few ab moves in it but it would be used better as a yoga workout or a cooldown/ stretch to follow a workout.
Bikini Belly: This is my favorite segment! Its a core cardio workout as I like to call it. You are standing the entire time. You do a short routine and Jessica adds on as you go. There is some TIFTing here but she adds on and its ony 10 minutes so it doesnt bother me. You do moves like knee strikes, figure 8, bob and weave, side twists, ski jumps, etc. VERY fun segment!!!! And a perfect add on.
Ab & Waist Definer: This is an oblique focused workout. You do some standing moves like lunge with a side twist and some seated moves like V-sits while twisting side to side. There is also a kneeling segment that has some unique ab work in it.
Sexy, Sporty Abs: She points out which sports you would utilize some of this work in so its lives up to its title. It includes a crunch sequence and a plank sequence. Some of the moves are standard and some are unique.
Jessica is a great lead. Very motivational and excellent cueing. She is enthusiastic but not overly so. I use this dvd A LOT and I have a lot of other ab w/o's. I just love the bikini belly routine. Its fun and different from most everything else Ive got (and Ive got a LOT of dvds); I can get in a bit of cardio with my ab work. I definitely recommend this dvd! |This is my first 10 min solution video and I loved it. It really got my heart rate up, it was fun, varied workouts and went really fast! I especially like how it worked my core. I disagree with other comments, though, I felt her cuing was right on and I had no problem following it. I enjoy kickboxing workouts but shy away from the complex choreography from kelly coffee and others like her- I could really get into the moves and get my heart rate up- but there was not too much repetition- she changes up the moves. |Video is great for a couple of reasons.
First if you are short on time the 10-minute workouts are efficient.
Second you can program the DVD. Personally I like to do each workout twice in a row when I’m short on time.
Third, I love the gloves. You can feel a difference.
Video falls short on cueing but you can get the hang of it after a couple of times. - posted by Sue D on 10/26/2010|
|Brutal but effective|
|I'm 29 and workout 5-6 days a week and just one of these 10 minute workouts makes you feel like you've gone a few rounds with a prize fighter. The moves aren't too difficult but your arms and legs are screaming the next day. Jessica is easy to follow, great at cuing and motivational from start to finish. Whether you are forcing yourself to get a workout in that day or you do the entire dvd, it gets the job done. A great buy! - posted by Robyn on 10/2/2010|
