Time graph for 10 Minute Solution Latin Dance Mix
Five 10-minute segments, each one features a different Latin dance that targets a different body area. Nothing intimidating — these exercises are easy to follow and fun to do (lots of rhythmic hip rolls and sexy chest pops). Every section includes something extra (e.g. traveling Cha Chas, waist-slimming Tango twists or hip-hop/disco-infused Merengues). Stella Sandoval’s one-on-one cuing is fluid and reassuring; her high-energy instruction encourages you to add your own style and attitude. DVD lets you play any segment in any order. ©2007. 10 Minute Solution Latin Dance Mix

I love this workout video!
I love this workout. It is hard to follow at first, but, I think that is because I was not that good of a dancer to begin with. If you are persistent in learning the moves, I feel it is a great way to exercise in a fun way. I much rather exercise dancing than boring aerobics. - posted by Diana on 1/31/2010
OK I'm Reviewing Again!
I was the first to review this workout (that never happens) and I'd like to respond to some of the criticisms. It isn't that hard aerobically, but so much fun. I did not find it hard to learn, maybe I'm a born Latin dancer and just didn't know it for 60 years! There are those who get upset when they feel clumsy and just can't get it. I certainly would be self conscious if someone was watching me. I also liked doing this when I missed my usual workout and got home around 10-11PM. Just told myself I was at a cool Latin club. It definitely has a place in your rotation. - posted by Robin on 1/20/2010
Disaster!
There is almost no cueing in this workout. She also doesn't do a very good job at breaking down the moves. I've tried numerous times to do this workout and it always ends with me stopping and watching her and by the time I get the moves she's moved onto to something else. To someone who has a lot of experience with Latin dancing this workout may be enjoyable, but if you don't have any experience (like me) I would steer clear of it...You'll burn more calories going on a walk. - posted by KZ on 11/19/2009
Great!
I set it to repeat the same dance section 3x in a row, that way I learn the moves through repetition. (You can't expect the instructor to go slowly if you expect to burn calories, right?!) Yes, it can be hard to keep up at first.. but if you repeat them a few times, you'll get better and better. This video will definitely be part of my daily routine. I love it! - posted by Amanda on 8/12/2009
too difficult
i purchased this video and i must say that i was very disappointed. this workout is too difficult because she doesn't really do a good job of cuing and letting you know what she is going to do. i constantly found myself stopping to watch her do the moves then i did working out myself. - posted by jacinda on 4/6/2009
OK, but takes a while to get into
I liked this one once I finally managed to get the movements down. Unfortunately, that took 7-8 sessions per segment just for the first two. I was too discouraged to really try the other segments much. Once you can follow along adequately, it's tons of fun, but the instructor doesn't explain steps very well and just seeing her feet (or hips) moving doesn't always really help me understand what I'm supposed to do. It might be easier and more enjoyable for someone who is more familiar with dance steps and Latin dance in general already. - posted by Sara on 3/31/2009
A Keeper!
This has become one of my favorite lighter day workouts. I usually do step and tae bo and kickboxing. Once a week I like something that is a bit lighter and fun but burns enough calories. This is it for me. All 5 routines are fun with good Latin music. Stella is a friendly instructor who keeps you moving. She rarely slows down but repeats each move a bit so you learn it. Each of the 5 dances has only 6-7 "steps", but each step builds with added arm movements, added hips, and then combining the steps with each other. It somehow all works to make the time go by fast. Because you move your arms and body a lot in the dancing and because Stella rarely slows down you do end up with a nice calorie burn. I wear a heart rate monitor--normal weight and older than 40. Each routine burns between 70-80 calories, for a sweet total of 400 for 50 minutes. - posted by Robin K on 2/1/2009
Glad I bought this one too!
I purchased both of Stella's videos and was not let down by either of them! 10 minute solutions is perfect for when I don't have a lot of time to squeeze in my workout. It's fun and easy to follow and I love Stella's style. Can't wait to see more videos from her!!! - posted by Jennifer on 7/21/2008
Good Workout
I think this is a pretty good workout because it gets my heart rate up but it's hard for me to follow so I'm not sure how much I will use it. - posted by Lisa on 7/5/2008
Good Workout
I do like this workout more than expected and wearing a heart-rate monitor as I always do, I burned more calories than expected. More than some other latin/salsa workouts--Nice! I think Stella's cuing on this is better than on her Dance Off Inches DVD, and the variety of moves in great, more variety than I expected. Yet, it's not too complex to learn right away. It is a nice 50 minutes, a little longer than many Dance DVDs and this will be added to my regular rotation. Two caveats only--be sure you like Latin-type movement (lots of hips, cha-chas, mambos, etc.) because this is 100% Latin and there is only the instructor, no students. Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
