Time graph for 10 Minute Solution Quick Tummy Toners
An exceptionally varied — and effective — mix of ab-focused exercises. Sure, there are crunches and Pilates. But you also get an entire segments of yoga-inspired abwork and standing rotational moves (exercises that target your obliques, the muscles that “cinch” your waistline). Even “standard” routines get a variety boost with intensity progressions and body-position options. In addition to the ab toning, the workout includes an all-cardio section designed to burn the fat beneath your abs. Jessica Smith’s one-on-one cuing is friendly and very detailed. Like all the “10 Minute” programs, you can customize the DVD to play any segment in any order. ©2008. DVD has: Programmable chapters, Close captions, Region 1.

10 Minute Solution Quick Tummy Toners

Pretty Good
I like this workout DVD but there are 2 out of 5 that I probably won't do. I have a lot of 10 minute workouts, yet this is not one of my favorites. - posted by Jane on 10/10/2009
Wow
I just got this dvd and just started it this morning. I wasnt sure if 10 min was enough time a day to work on your tummy, but this morning I worked a sweat and my tummy was feeling it. I like how she steps it up each rep. You can either do the harder or the one you can actually do. Im excited to keep going, hopefully it tones me up a little! - posted by Traci on 9/16/2009
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
O my gosh, I am SO pleased with all the variety in working our abs. In every 10-minute session, I was just reeling with “o wowwww!” The moves are ABS-olutely unique and very effective. I strained my lower back last week (not from fitness), but I continued with careful fitness and practicing yoga sessions to help with feeling better. Amazingly, I felt immediate comfort and rehabilitation with the Sexy/Sporty Abs section! I would not have thought this initially. And her yoga session is Amazingly soothing and yet core effective. You get your heart rate up in each session. There is cardio as well (its non-impact, but you can modify to be low or high impact), and your arms get worked out too in some of the sessions. This again is just a positively amazing Ab workout. The flow is great, the variety is Fabulous, and Jessica’s cueing is perfect. This is a wonderfully produced dvd! - posted by Sher on 6/17/2009
Love It!!
I've only had this video a couple of days. I did it for the first time yesterday and loved it. I really like the instructor, Jessica Smith. I find her cuing to be spot on. I like that she gives you a move and then increases the intensity gradually. You can choose to do the more advanced move or stay with the current move either way you are getting a great ab workout. - posted by Valerie on 2/21/2009
Love, love, LOVE this workout!
This is the best ab workout DVD I've used in a long time. Since I'm recovering from a slipped disk, and my physio told me to keep my back straight when exercising (ie avoiding crunches), I've only been able to use snippets of my old ab workouts. This is the only one where I can actually do most of the exercises - it has so much variety, with new moves I've never done before, and modifications suggested for most so you have 3 levels of difficulty. I did the whole thing this morning (skipping some of the yoga section and crunches) and was sweating quite a bit by the end, and it was fun. Jessica is a fantastic instructor - very pleasant and encouraging, gives great pointers, cues extremely well and is never remotely annoying. I think she could be my new favorite instructor - I hope she does more workout DVDs! She also has beautiful abs and the type of abs I want - sleek, toned and feminine, not rocky 6 pack. This one will be on high rotation. Very highly recommend! - posted by Felicity on 2/6/2009
Love This One!
This DVD is in my rotation! I especially love the Bikini Belly section - it's aerobic but low impact, great for my sensitive knees! The other sections are great too, and effective. I love the fact I can add on one of the 10 minute sections to another workout or do all at once. I have to say the 10 Minute Solution DVDs are among my favorites! - posted by Lenore on 1/31/2009
Ab Attacker!
I am a big fan of this DVD. There are five ten minute sections: crunch-free abs, yoga abs, bikini belly, ab & waist definer and sexy, sporty abs (my favorite). The workouts are challenging for the core...you can really feel your abs working. Jessica's instruction is motivating and easy to follow. I find myself mixing these segments up all the time and I never get bored. Every once in awhile, I do them all together for the ultimate ab workout. Highly recommend. - posted by Victoria on 1/27/2009
Great Add-on!
Targets the muscles from multiple angles. I love using this as add-ons for ab workout. I thought the cardio segment was fun and targeted the abs well too. Jessica is a great instructor! Two thumbs up from me! - posted by Elaine on 10/29/2008
The best!
10 minute solutions has had several ab toner type dvds and to me, this was the best! I ABsolutely loved it! Jessica is more intense in the moves she brings to the workout than other instructors. Her moves are highly effective. I think people need to remember that working your core...of which abs are a huge part...is most effectively done in various forms other than just crunches. Jessica finds innovative and effective ways to do that, including the cardio section. It was fun, creative, diverse and just terrific! Loved it! - posted by Shelley on 9/20/2008
liked 3 sections, not the other 2
This is a fun workout but not as hard as I had hoped. There is little real ab work in it - more just general core work. I liked the sporty abs section which has some crunch variations in it, I liked the crunch free abs section which is basically Pilates, and I liked the waist section that has lots of rotational moves and felt good on my back. I didn't care so much for the cardio section and the yoga section. These were OK as cardio and yoga go, but they didn't seem to do much for the abs. The cardio section is also quite repetitive. It's basically like a 10 minute add on routine that is then repeated several times at the end. I think I'll keep this workout for now, but I don't think I'll ever do the entire thing again like I did today. Instead, I'll just use the sections I like as add-ons and possibly occasionally I'll add the cardio piece onto some other cardio or the yoga piece onto some other yoga. - posted by Barb on 9/16/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Programmable chapters
X
At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
