Certified instructor description: Five complete programs, each one uses a distinct series of targeted yoga poses. They’re specifically designed to enrich your entire day by loosening your muscles, awakening your body and centering your mind (even the scenery is tranquil and calming; they’re exquisitely filmed amid the red rocks of Glen Canyon, Arizona). Each individual workout has a focus — from “Twists” that builds flexibility to “Standing Poses” that boost energy. As always, Rodney’s one-on-one instruction is friendly and precise (the DVD even offers “full cuing” and “minimal cuing” options to match your level and mood). ©2008. DVD has: Narrow screen.

Rodney Yee's AM Yoga for Your Week

AM Yoga Rodney Yee
Love this video as it has doable 20 minute workouts that are challenging but not too difficult. The canyon landscape and Rodney's soothing voice make the workout a pleasure not to mention the soundscape background music... - posted by Catherine on 3/27/2013
My Go-To Yoga DVD!!!!
I love this DVD!!! The value is amazing as there are five 20 minute workouts and they are all very well sequenced. Some knowledge of yoga is helpful, but I think Rodney includes apt guidelines and reminders during the poses. A perfect way to start the day! If I had to choose one DVD to save, this may be it!! - posted by Emily on 3/14/2013

This workout is great and it seems to really help relax my muscles. The workout is just challenging enough for me. My workout level is between a beginner and intermediate. - posted by Vikki on 3/8/2013
My go-to yoga DVD
I love Rodney Yee's yoga videos and this one is my favorite. I find myself doing one of these workouts whenever I am feeling stiff in the hips, sore in the hamstrings or just want a short workout. I do wish the workouts were just a bit longer, say 35 to 45 minutes. Sometimes, a 20-25 minute workout is just not long enough. But, that said, you cannot go wrong with this DVD. - posted by Robin on 3/7/2013
Really like this!
I am brand new to yoga and this video is perfect for me. I am not limber but found that I can still do this video and participate in all of the stretches. I get a great stretch and his voice is so soothing. I like that the segments are relatively short and very doable with my schedule. Try it, I really think you'll like it. - posted by Karla on 3/7/2013

False Advertising
I like Rodney Yee. He is one of the best yoga instructors around in the video universe, in my humble opinion. As a matter of fact his short yoga videos from the 1990s first got me interested in yoga. However, this particular product is NOT what I imagined it to be. I purchased it because I liked the idea of spreading several mini yoga workouts over the course of the week (the video blurb strongly suggests that idea). Unfortunately, that is not how this video is structured. Instead Rodney presents assorted moves for the lower body in one session, then the back and core in another session, and so on and so forth. Frankly, I am very disappointed as this was NOT what I thought this yoga video was going to be about. The verbal cues were all off too, which is not like the Rodney Yee I am familiar with. Verdict : not a recommended video for yoga enthusiasts or folks seeking an introduction to yoga. Stick to the Yogazone folks for that type of thing. - posted by Andrew on 2/28/2013
Nice mix of short yoga sessions
I had been looking for some shorter yoga sessions to add on to the end of my cardio sessions. These are really good to balance out my body and quiet my mind. Thanks Rodney! - posted by Ann on 2/14/2013
Nice!
This is my first Rodney Yee video, and I've only done one segment, for hips. I have an old and aggravating hip injury, so this is the one that most interests me anyway. The poses are challenging, but not too much, and I loved the pace and the approach. He really takes a mind-body approach that I find comforting, helping to remember that part of the healing process for my injuries is paying attention to the pain, but not letting it rule my physicality. Just what I needed. I am a fairly new participant in yoga, and I would say this video is appropriate for beginners who are fairly flexible already, or for those who are willing to work on their flexibility with some commitment. - posted by Sojourn on 2/6/2013

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
