Certified instructor description: Using a stability ball in every exercise, this is a surprisingly tough, surprisingly effective all-aerobic workout. It’s a playful program that recalls the kid-like fun of bouncing on a ball (as it burns fat, improves balance and builds core strength). The moves include “mambo right leg while dribbling the ball,” “cha cha center, then mambo left” and a traveling-back-and-forth “hippity hop” (all even more intense and creative than Patrick Goudeau’s original “Amazing Ball”). Patrick’s cuing is clear and professional. But it’s his fun-loving attitude and contagious laughter that’s sure to keep you energized. Requires a stability ball. ©2004. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Amazing Ball Choreography II

Fun Workout...
A lot of fun. Not his best but still a great Workout. - posted by Ludovina on 11/27/2011
I like it
I love the creativity and innovation of this workout. The time just flew by and I really had fun with it. I think this workout is correctly rated as Intermediate - it's definitely not Advanced, so keep that in mind because if you're expecting a super-tough workout, this is not it. But I love Patrick's personality, his cuing, and the music is good too. My only complaint is that I wish there was a bit less Take It From the Top. - posted by Marianne on 11/8/2007

A waste.
I've tried a couple of Patrick's videos and while this is the only one I could even get through, I do not recommend it. The premise is lovely: to incorporate cardio into a ball workout. The bouncing is fun and begins a nice rhythm, but that rhythm is lost pretty quickly. He focuses more on doing fancy and quick dance moves and/or changes in choreography than he does on providing a really solid EXERCISE workout, so I spent all my time desperately trying to catch up to his choreography rather than on doing a solid workout. - posted by Holly Jones on 2/22/2007
Really wanted to like it
I have been looking for low-impact, advanced workouts to alternate with the more challenging high-impact programs I normally do. Per the reviews, this workout seemed like it would be a fun and unique addition. I was actually disappointed with the flow of the workout. Bouncing was fun but there was never any real opportunity to get carried away in it. Too many awkward, hurried moves. And while it did raise my heart rate, I could not classify this as anything beyond a beginner/intermediate workout. On the up side, Patrick seems to have fun and definitely offers some new moves on the ball. Though not terribly inspiring, this is probably the best aerobic ball routine currently available . The other "aerobic" routines I have tried were outright lame and did not raise my heart rate beyond a slow walk. On a side note, this purchase was not a complete loss as my daughter (age 11) liked it well enough to (sort of) let it guide her play. - posted by Kate on 5/7/2005
Great workout, a lot of fun!
I really liked this video! Patrick has a lot of energy, and does a lot of things with the ball I have not seen before. I worked up a sweat with this one. The choreography is much more challenging than in Vol 1. You do need a lot of space to do this workout, I just moved things around. Loved it, so much fun! - posted by Leslie on 3/9/2005
I LOVE IT
WHAT A FUN FUN FUN WORKOUT. I AM NOT A FAN OF STEPS, I FIND IT BORING, BUT THIS IS FUN, YES IT TOOK A FEW TIMES TO LEARN TO GET USED TO NOT LETTING THE BALL GET AWAY FROM YOU, BUT WHAT WORKS ON THE FIRST TIME FOR ANYTHING IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY, I LOVE IT, I HAVE FUN AND SWEAT THAT IS MY OBJECTIVE....SWEAT AND FUN....BEST WISHES ALL... - posted by MARIA on 3/3/2005
Bored & Frustrated
I turned off my TV after 15 minutes. The ball kept getting away from me, I never seemed to run around the ball fast enough, and there was too much basic bouncing which made it really boring. - posted by SharonH on 2/13/2005
fantastic
This workout is even better than the first. the ball really helps to keep the impact lower. you get a workout and you have fun. how much better can it get - posted by chelsea on 12/7/2004
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
