Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge |
    Butt kicker! |
| Amy Bento's advanced step workout will definitely make you sweat! It is a great workout and the bonus "blast" is an excellent extra challenge. However it takes a bit to learn the moves and get the routine down. I would not recommend this for someone who is not familiar with step aerobic moves. Trying to figure it out may be to frustrating and he or she may not find it worth the effort. If do like aerobic work outs, step particularly, and are looking for a new challenge Advanced Step Challenge is great! - posted by Jennifer on 12/29/2011 |

Twisted Ankle on those Crazy Shuffles |
| I've been doing step aerobics for nearly 15 years, and this is the most difficult program I've ever done. She spends very little time teaching the combos, and I've fallen twice doing the crazy shuffle on the first combo. The second time I twisted my ankle. I'm going to keep trying but maybe take it down a notch. It's not for the beginner, that's for sure, and my heart rate gets up there and fast. Also, the power segment at the end is not as difficult but also gets your heart rate up there. - posted by Beth on 10/3/2011 |

| My hips and knees hurt from all of the jumping, but got a good workout and it was fun. - posted by Shellie on 9/29/2011 |

MY FIRST AMY STEP.....WON'T BE MY LAST |
| Other than several 10 Minute Solution dvd, this is my first Amy step w/o. I've done several Cathe step w/o, so I'm familiar with complicated choreography & routines. Even so, I watched Amy's tutorial & previewed ASC a couple of times....which I don't feel is a negative thing. New instructor, new phrasing, new everything. There isn't any choreography that can not be mastered if you put the time into learning it. I find that the more complicated it is, the more I like it (once I learn it). Amy is motivating, funny and encouraging during the w/o and puts each routine together a piece at a time (however some of the pieces are tricky on the first pass) and builds from there. Several moves were new to me (crazy shuffle, about face, etc...) but the more I do ASC, the better I become. The Power Up is a 5-minute heart pumper/lung thumper....a quick, high impact sweat fest. I wish her stretch segment was longer (many instructor skimp on stretching which I feel is a big mistake) which is why 4 stars. All in all, I'll be getting more Amy step & cardio w/o - posted by SMT on 5/14/2010 |

    Time flies! |
| I love this workout! It's great when you want a calorie-burning step workout in a shorter amount of time. I'm an advanced stepper and like a challenge, but I don't enjoy being frustrated by overly-complex choreography. Amy's preview moves are very helpful, and I was able to get all the moves down by the second attempt. It doesn't repeat itself over and over which is why it will have good staying power. My heart rate is up the whole time, and the workout goes by so quickly, it's over before you know it. I highly recommend this along with Amy's other step workouts. The choreography takes a couple times to get down but is so worth it in the end. - posted by Carrie on 3/19/2010 |

Way too difficult to follow! |
| I gave this 3 stars because I have a few of Amy´s videos (Kickbox, Slow-mo, All pump extreme) and I love them. But.....this DVD drove me mad! I have watched it again and again and have tried to follow it, but its just too complex. I have plenty of Cathe & Kelly C.M. step dvds and they are in no way easy, but they are a piece of cake compared to this. I want to work hard, I just think this is no need for some ´fancy´ footwork :-( - posted by Mandy on 2/18/2010 |

    Great Fast Workout |
| This video gets you sweating. It does take a little bit to learn; however, it's worth the effort. This workout is short and intense and I love how I can do a chapter at a time (it actually returns to the chapter menu when each selected chapter has completed) which allows me to be able to get a great workout in even when I'm short on time. I usually am able to sneak a longer workout in because each chapter is short enough. - posted by Melissa on 1/10/2010 |

    Very Difficult! |
| I have been doing step aerobics for years and I thought that this workout was very complex and very poorly cued. I tried it several times and still can't seem to get the moves down...very frustrating. I think that the instructor could have done a better job walking you through the moves while you are doing them and giving you cues as to what comes next. - posted by Kaisha on 7/13/2009 |

    Really enjoyed this! |
| While the choreography is quite complex and I had to re-wind and play several times throughout the video, I really enjoyed this dvd. My only complaint is that you spend quite a bit of time at the front of the step with your back facing the tv which makes is quite difficult to see what's going on without twisting around a bit. Other than that, I really liked how she kept it moving along, not too much repetition, but just enough to get the hang of it before layering on. I didn't realize there is a bonus section with power cardio - it's a separate chapter that you have to go through the menu to get to. I previewed it and it looks awesome! I can't wait to try it! I'm new to Amy Bento but I'm quite pleased with the two videos of hers that I recently bought. I will definitely buy more! - posted by Stephanie on 7/9/2009 |

No thanks, I prefer to work out |
| Have you ever been to a gym aerobics class where all the regulars know the instructor and what she means when she says this or that, except for you, so you're left not really getting a workout because there's little explanation or working through to "get" the moves? That's what this program is like. I do mostly advanced videos (Patrick G is a current fav) so it's not that I'm a complete buffoon. Yes, I suppose I could work my way through it day after day, but I don't have that kind of time and frankly, I'm put off by it and I'm returning it. - posted by Marianne on 6/10/2009 |
