Certified instructor description: A graceful, dancers’ workout that starts with all-standing ballet exercises and ends with Pilates matwork. It’s a varied and balanced combination that increases core strength as it firms your entire body. The first segment features a medley of traditional ballet exercises like pliés, relevés and cursey lunges (sometimes modified to incorporate upper-body resistance band routines). Then it’s down on the floor for a mix of two Pilates styles: classic Pilates and Pilates intensified with a weighted ball. Calm, detailed cuing by Bernadette Giorgi. Quiet instrumental music. Requires a resistance band; a 1 to 5 lb. weighted ball is optional. Has a 14-minute ballet and Pilates tutorial. ©2008. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Attitude Tu: Ballet Pilates Fusion

Good for posture
I sit at a desk all day and have problems with good posture. This workout always makes me feel taller and stronger. Excellent core work. I believe that doing this workout on a regular basis will definitely improve my posture. I supplement this with regular strength training with weights and cardio. I wouldn't rely on this alone for total body toning though. It's very subtle in areas. Other than the core area, I don't think you would develop alot of strength. This will stay a part of my current rotation simply because of the improved posture and great core work. - posted by Sheri on 2/27/2012
Excellent Toning Workout
This is a wonderful workout that hits every part of the body. It is effective and Bernadette Giorgi leads the class calmly and her cuing is efficient. I finish feeling like not only did I have a really good workout but I am also refreshed. I highly recommend it for people who want to tone their body without a lot of pushing and pulling. The movements are graceful and elongating. - posted by Mary on 2/24/2012
I love this dvd!!!
This is an excellent full body workout. It's challenging but it gets the job done. I love the inspirational sayings in between workout sessions and the mat workout is the best. You really feel like you are becoming more lean and graceful, which is a motivation to keep doing this dvd until you can see results. - posted by tlmack on 5/15/2011
Wonderful workout
I really enjoyed this workout and found it different enough from her first DVD to be great on alternate days. I love the use of the band during the standing work and it leaves me feel graceful, strong, and controlled with posture. Like has been stated the floorwork can be killer even without the use of the ball. Fabulous Bernadette! - posted by Stephanie B on 5/29/2009
Great idea...just OK results
As a former ballet dancer who favors pilates/yoga routines, and is now at only about an intermediate level after several years of gym-itis, I really wanted to love this DVD. And while I found the 2nd half consisting of pilates matwork to be unique and challenging (I didn't even use my 3 lb. pilates balls!), the standing floor work just fell short. The use of the resistance band meant that my shoulders were killing me, but the rest of my arms didn't really get a good workout. I also felt that the lower body was barely used. I did this yesterday, and today I have a tiny bit of soreness in my outer hips and thighs, but feel nothing in my glutes or hammies. I would have been better off doing a traditional ballet style workout. I will definately be using the mat section as an add on for my abs, but I doubt I'll be using the first section again. - posted by Megan on 5/14/2009
Transformed My Body
I absolutely LOVE this workout and the other videos that Bernadette created. I tend to gravitate toward ballet and pilates inspired videos and The Just B method DVDs provide that balance of challenge, while giving me a toned and slim dancers body. I had gained some weight recently due to stress and hadn't been motivated to work out. Let's just say my clothes weren't fitting like they used to and my abs were starting to bulge. Since I've been using this workout, I've seen more graceful lines in my legs and my abs are definitely flattening. My overall shape is toned and now my clothes more than fit. In fact, I'll need to go down a size! Highly recommend using the band or getting weighted pilates balls for extra resistance. - posted by Holly on 3/21/2009
Best workout DVD's I've ever used!
Hi Bernadette, Your DVD's are wonderful. They are the best I have ever used and I have used many over the years! Your explanation of and direction for each move are easy to follow, even for those of us who are less experiened in this type of workout. I really enjoy reading your newsletter, too. It's very motivating; full of helpful tips and great information for staying "fit." Thanks so much for sending it. Well I'm leaving work now and hope to go home and "work out with you" tonight! :-) Sheryl - posted by Sheryl on 11/17/2008
" Attitude Tu" Ballet Pilates Fusion
Bernadette Giorgi has produced an exercise video which demonstrates the beauty of Pilates; the secret to maintaining a youthful, toned and flexible body. Her passion for the art of Pilates is evident with her desire to share the refined movements which define with finesse a well structured core. The graceful ballet movements build muscle with an emphasis on posture and balance. Finally an exercise video that addresses the whole body for a lifetime of positive results. I am an extremely athletic woman, who has incorporated the Pilates Fusion aspect into my work out and have noticed an amazing difference with the tone of my body and an improvement with my posture. The "Attitude Tu" Ballet Pilates Fusion video with the guidance of Bernadette Giorgi presents an innovative way of developing the perfect body! - posted by Joanie on 9/10/2008

Attitude Tu develops your both your inner and outer beauty
I just love Bernadette's new Attitude Tu. I've thoroughly enjoyed her first dvd and was quite content with it, but have to say that her new one bumps things up a notch or two. There is a bit more of an aerobic element to this one, with the use of the bands and weighted ball. The band is awesome for your sholders and arms, but also helps to remind you to pay attention to your core while doing the standing work. The bands also help with balance while doing those side lunges. I just feel so graceful while I'm doing the standing workout, and at the same time know I'm getting a powerful workout, all over. The mat work is amazing. The mat attitudes work out your lower abdomen like nothing else, and her oblique and side lying series rocks! Calm cuing, visual appeal, inspirational quotations between sets, serene music, and a nice post workout stretch, all make for a workout that I look forward to and feel ten times better after having done it, in both body and spirit. Thank you Bernadette, and also to her beavy of beauties behind her! - posted by June on 7/13/2008

Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
