Certified instructor description: Classic Tae Bo with a twist — each segment begins at a slower pace and ends with a flat-out burst ("so it explodes, like a bomb"). This slow/fast format maximizes fat-burning by keeping your body challenged, but not exhausted. In addition to this "aerobic interval" technique, Billy also includes additional tweaks to boost results. Your core is often engaged; your arms are always active and your body is constantly in motion (side-to-side, front-to-back ... often incorporating body rotations and kickbox combinations). As you'd expect, many of the exercises feature "explosive" moves like jumps, jacks and mountain climbers. ©2011. DVD has: Wide screen.

Billy Blanks' TaeBo Cardio Explosion

Great Workout
I like Billy's enthusiasm and his words of wisdom. This workout is a good one. After about 3 times doing it, I felt stronger. POW - posted by Annie on 3/15/2012
Awesome video!
Love Billy Blanks! I haven't done TaeBo in years but always loved it! I am a Zumba Fitness Instructor and was looking for some cross training work to help develop some strength. So naturally I went back to Billy! Cardio Explosion is awesome, it has some AMAZING tricep work that I so need! I highly recommend this video!!!!! - posted by Melissa on 3/1/2012

TaeBo Cardio Explosion
This is another winner in Billy Blanks updated TaeBo collection. I did the workout and the next day my legs and abs were really talking to me. I loved it. I felt as if I got my heart rate up a little higher with the TaeBo Power workout, but I felt as if I had done some serious toning after using this DVD. Very nice. - posted by Judy on 1/12/2012
Good but not my favorite
I have a lot of Tae Bo workouts and this one is not my favorite. It is good, but not great for me. Maybe it's because I do not like doing mountain climbers and burpees and he throws these in. Some of it is a little too fast for me so I have to slow it down a bit.I do like the abwork that he does and all of the tricep work.I would love to see a Tae Bo Workout where Shelly does not scream "YES SIR." I definitely did sweat and get my heart rate up through most of it. Like I said, good, but not the best. I prefer This is Tae Bo and the new Tae Bo Power and Ripped Extreme over this one. - posted by J on 12/14/2011
Awesome
This DVD is AMAZING. It is for people already used to Billy since he does not break down much of the moves but there is hardly any of that awkward resting so for me it is better. It is constant moving and different moves and just a great workout! Only downside is the actual workout minus warm-up and cool-down is only 43 minutes..wish it was a little longer! - posted by Amanda on 12/13/2011
Love the Cardio Explosion
This is not your old TAEBO! This is new and challenging and Billy keeps you moving the whole time! Love some of the new faces too! Some new moves and excellent cueing from Billy and Shelly! Not for beginners! - posted by Christy on 12/4/2011
Better than expected
I am used to doing the 30 Day Shred & Biggest Loser Cardio Blast so when I tried this I was a little surprised to be sore in my arms & thighs. This is a great workout and the time goes by. There are no rest times but a minute here and there when things slow down so you can catch your breath if you need to. He is very repetitive with his counting (constant counts of 8) as well as the same phrases over and over again. There is yelling outloud occasionally from members of his workout group on this DVD that I find a little goofy. Overall, Billy works my tail off and I feel it! AND...it is easy on my knee. I have had bouts of tendinitis that are non existent when I do this workout; very little jumping with the exception of one towards the end that I just modify. - posted by Debbie on 12/1/2011
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
