Certified instructor description: You get “maximum stretching variety” with three separate workouts — floor, stability ball and Dyna-band stretching. Each program improves flexibility and reduces stress in a different way. The first segment requires no equipment; it includes both athletic and yoga stretches (standing and lying). Next, you’ll add a stability ball to lengthen the actions or improve the body position (using moves that seem very natural, not “forced” to work on the ball). Finally, you’ll use a Dyna-band to control some stretches and deepen others (while also providing a gentle toning benefit). Throughout, Cathe’s cuing is always fluid, calming and precise. Quiet music. Requires a 6-foot Dyna-band and a stability ball. ©2005.

Cathe Friedrich's Stretch Max

LOVE THIS
This is a great video. I had never heard of the instructor but thought I would try it. I am really enjoying it. It is to the point, energetic, super easy to follow. I didn't realize it had 3 separate workouts which is great because it keeps my week interesting. - posted by Nicole on 3/2/2012
Stretch Max
This is an awesome video. It's perfect for a quick 30 min stretch after doing a work out on your own, when not using other Cathe Friedrich videos. For instance I stretch after a 5 mile bike ride. I love it and I have 3 different programs to choose from. - posted by Patty on 11/12/2011

Love this dvd, I was never a person to stretch but I recently started and I really would suggest this dvd to anyone, its great. I use it after I spin. thanks patty - posted by patty on 11/10/2011
Get this instead of her Yoga Videos
The Yoga videos are OK - but after re visiting Stretch Max, I find it superior to Yoga Max. I like the choice of no equipment, stability ball equipment and resistance band equipment. My favorite is the resistance band stretching. I do extra stretching after almost every workout I do. The cast and the music are great! Cathe is in her element here! - posted by Jennifer on 11/9/2011
Cathe Friedrich's Stretch Max
Great video. Love the three different stretch routines. Would like to see info on how many times a week this should be done. - posted by Kathy S on 11/3/2011
wonderful
I learned how important stretching daily or weekly is for your muscles (unfortunately now in my 40's and with scoliosis)and my first experience with stretching was 2 yrs ago with the video Dynamic Stretch. Felt I needed a more thorough stretch that didn't require more time and this video fit the need. The stretch with no equipment required is only 20 min and is very thorough. I especially like the simplicity of the video with no extra "stuff" but gets right to the stretching, the music is pleasant. The same above applies to stretching with the resistance band. Don't have a stability ball yet but looks just as effective. I do the short 20 min stretches any time, when I get home from work, before I start my day or even in the evening to wind down. Love it!! - posted by Imelda on 10/20/2011
I Feel Like a Wet Noodle-In a Good Way, Of Course
I'm not very flexible and as someone else mentioned the stretches at the end of most workouts aren't enough. This fits the bill. Thanks Collage! Cathe has a great soothing tone and you just feel great when done. - posted by Barbara on 8/27/2011
Loved it!
I have never been disappointed with a Cathe video and this one is no different. Whether it's all out cardio or relaxing stretching, she is always clear, easy to understand and follow and helps me achieve my goals. Collage video is a very helpful tool also when looking for the newest thing in fitness. Thanks! - posted by Tammy Jones on 8/11/2011
Feel those muscles
I liked this dvd. I like feeling my muscles when I hold them in a position. I especially wanted this one for the stability ball stretch. - posted by Michele on 8/8/2011
Yes!
Once again Cathe has created a great dvd. She explains the movement, the muscles being stretched, and always cautions when to be protective of your aging body. I like the three options of no equipment or ball or bands. Each chapter is a great stretch. I use the dvd each morning to wake up my old body. - posted by Christine on 5/16/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
