Christi Taylor's Fit to Dance |
    Wow, totally great... |
| I LOVED this workout. Christi has, in the past, been too choreographically challenging for me. This one is constantly changing but do-able. The moves are basic and she builds complexity with perfect timing and cuing. It is also a fun dvd that put me in a good mood. I actually didn't want it to end! She is kind and upbeat, and the moves pushed me to my max. I am an intermediate/advanced exerciser and this was just so much fun. I can't wait for the next one! - posted by Lisa on 8/18/2008 |

    Excellent and Motivating |
| I don't know what's up with the negative reviews, but this is a great workout. Christi is a music lover, so she always makes sure her workouts have good, motivating songs. Something that other instructors need more of. Compared to some of her older workouts this one is much easier to follow. It gets your heart rate up just right, sometimes, I do add some additional jumps and I use heavier weights. Excellent workout that I reach for when I want a good mix and fun. - posted by dusty on 6/30/2008 |

    Breaking my boredom |
| I have many videos in my collection, but was beginning to get a little bored--this is the perfect workout to break the boredom. I loved the quick changing intervals--each segment is about 5 minutes long, and with about 13-14 different segments, I can imagine this workout will keep me engaged and motivated for a long time. Although I love the complex choreography of Christi's other workouts, these moves are very easy to pick up on. I do agree with the other reviewers that my muscles didn't feel taxed after the weight segments, but nonetheless my heart rate stayed up and I was a sweating machine. A keeper! - posted by Amy on 6/28/2008 |

    Great music, fun workout |
| The time flew by when I did this! I loved it so much. It has a dancy feel without complex choreography and is impeccably cued by Christi. I use it as cardio workout rather than an interval by using only 2 or 3 pound weights. This is a keeper and I hope Christi makes more like it. - posted by fit2Btied on 5/17/2008 |

    Sent it back |
| This was my third Christi video. The other two are all cardio and I LOVE them! Christi's cueing is always impeccable. With that said, I had to send this one back. I hurt my shoulder. I used 5 lb. weights, which is light for me, and I believe that was a mistake. It doesn't work your muscles to fatigue, and I didn't like some of the "toning" moves, such as the push-ups she does. I would still purchase other Christi videos, because she is an excellent instructor. This one was just not for me. - posted by Kathy on 5/3/2008 |

If you want something different... |
| I don't usually like "dance" workouts but the clip on Collage looked really interesting. This is a workout like no other. The music is fantastic; completely different from any other workout. While I agree the workout doesn't "work" your muscles to exhaustion, I wasn't really expecting it to. I've never found "compound exercises" where you work upper and lower body together to exhaust muscles. I do this workout and then concentrate on a body part after. - posted by Julie on 4/24/2008 |

    Good Workout |
| I like the workout you get from this video but for me some of it was hard to follow. Instead of working out i'd find myself trying to figure out what she's doing. However, I did feel like I was getting a good cardio workout and elevated heartrate. - posted by Natalia on 4/15/2008 |

    the BEST! |
| I have a half dozen of Christi's videos and this is THE BEST!!!! the intervals are long enough to make you work, but short enough to keep it interesting -- i never look at the timer on the dvd player (lol!) -- the set is clean -- i really like the color contrast too -- it makes it easy to see hand and leg movements. I will be doing this video A LOT because it's fun, challenging and it goes by FAST! Thanks Christi! - posted by karissa on 4/11/2008 |

    Christi Rocks! |
| This is my first Christi Taylor workout and I love it! I am using it for my cardio days, using 3 lb. weights. I do NOT like choreography or dance videos, but am looking for something fun, so this fits the bill 100%. Christi's energy is infectious and her smile kept me going. The only thing that would improve this workout is better video angles to show moves from the side. Really FUN way to start my day! - posted by Anita on 4/9/2008 |

This one misses the boat |
| It pains me to write this because I LOVE Christi. She is by far my favorite instructor and everything she does is five-star. In Fit to Dance, however, she really misses the mark. Christi's cuing is excellent as always, you will catch on the first time through. However, the cardio intervals are repetitive with some downright boring (which isn't the worst part) while the weight work just does NOT work your muscles appropriately or to fatigue. She has you blend so many different exercises into essentially one or two movements that the muscle never really feels the exertion while the joints take a lot of stress. (i.e while doing a step, step back right, step, step back left, you are simultaneously doing a bicep curl on the right step back, a tricep extension on the left step back, then following that with a chest press on the right step back and a fly on the left step back). There are other instances of weight work that just doesn't fatigue the muscle appropriately or exercises that accomplish little. Honestly, if the weight training portion of the workout was better, the repetitive cardio wouldn't bother me in the least. Like I said, I love Christi and I so wanted to love this workout -- but it's not there for me. - posted by Andrea on 4/9/2008 |
