Certified instructor description: It’s back to the basics in this “just plain fun” program. You’ll start with varied step-aerobics and end with with energetic hi/lo. Christi’s transitions are ultra-smooth and her aerobic-favorites choreography is ultra-easy to follow. It’s a style that lets you get “into” the workout without worrying about what comes next (it also allows you to boost the intensity and range of motion). You’ll be groovin’ to classics like “grapevines,” “step touches,” “shuffle ball changes” and “hustles with a pony.” The beginning step section is slightly more challenging — the moves are still simple, but you’ll be stepping from every angle and every direction. Soundtrack includes some sing-along vocals like “Beautiful Lady,” “I Like It Like That” and “Inside Out.” Includes a separate 10-minute choreography instructional segment at the end. ©2005. Note: Preview clip shows hi/lo first, then step. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Christi Taylor's Mission Possible

Love it!
I totally love this dvd. I love the fact that it is 2 20 minutes segments that you can do either one alone or both together for a good 40 minute workout. I love the way the moves flow together. The warm up is a bit long but not a problem. Also, the change between the segments could be a little bit better especially if you are doing them back to back. You need just a little time to get your step out of the way. But all in all, I really love this dvd. It is my favorite. - posted by Robin on 8/25/2011
An uplifting, invigorating workout
This is a great intermediate exercise routine. I had never done a Christi Taylor video before but I will now be looking for more by her. The moves are simple but there is a good mix of variety and the pace is fast but not too fast. She cues well and has a very sunny disposition which acts as additional motivation. Overall, a good-feeling experience. - posted by becky on 3/3/2011
Great easy workout, terrible music
The music, lyrics specifically, keeps me from putting on this fine workout. All songs are men leering, obsessing, threatening - lyrics like "down on your knees" and one song with "Shut Up!" as the only words. When I am doing the workout, I can kind of forget all the negativity, but when I am choosing what to put on, I have a hard time picking this one up. How about a song a woman might sing, Christi? I am a 61 year-old long time home workout fan. - posted by Leslie on 11/18/2010
Fun and a great intro to step!
I have been a floor aerobic exerciser forever, and this was my first introduction to step. I loved that half the workout is step and half floor (how come more DVDs aren't like that?). Music is one of my favorite parts -- very upbeat and interesting. Christi's cuing is helpful and this made me feel like I was getting a decent workout. - posted by Hope91 on 1/3/2010
Boring!
I gave this 3 stars because it did get my heart rate up but it was so boring. The floor exercise was not challenging at all. I also thought the intro was really cheesy. Not my fave! - posted by Vanessa on 12/9/2009
Always Makes me Smile
If you want a fun workout, but don’t like complex choreography, this is it! Completing this workout is indeed mission possible. Exquisitely cued, with great music. - posted by Lori on 11/22/2009
Very nice!
Flawless production, wonderful cueing, great music. The gals here use a 6 inch step but the moves are basic and can be easily done on a higher step for those who want a bit more challenge. Highly recommended for those who dislike complex choreography or just need the occasional break from the complex stuff! - posted by Susan W. on 10/18/2009
FUN !!
I'm 52 and generally avoid complex choreography and know this instructor tends toward that. However, overview states that the choreography is "basic" so after reviewing the clip, decided to purchase it. It's a gas!! I enjoyed it thoroughly and am impressed with her as an instructor -- however, this is as "complex" as I want to get -- so I won't be getting any of her others. Keep it simple is my thing. - posted by NANCY M on 5/24/2009
A lot of fun
Christi sure does cue well! She starts basic and layers after that until you have each part down. The routine is fun and easy to follow and gets your HR up fast and keeps it up. Christi so obviously has fun doing the routine it is infectious. She makes me smile when she sings her cues, silly woman! I am a little trepidatious to try her other more complex routines but I am going to give it a try based on this one. - posted by Nancy on 4/14/2009
Nice Surprise!
I enjoy this workout because of the simplicity of the moves-yet the intensity is still there. The step portion teaches 4 combos and you keep TIFTTing once you learn each combo, The same goes for the floor cardio portion. If you LOVE Gay Gaspar's Fat Burning For Dummies workout- you will probably Love this one too! - posted by Tracy on 3/21/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
