Certified instructor description: Six easy-to-follow dance combos led by a very high-energy instructor. This hip shakin’ cardio party is sure to have you burning fat and having fun. Even the “rhythmically challenged” can do this workout — the steps are taught at half-tempo, linked together and finally blended into full sequence. The moves range from “body rolls” and “salt shakers” to “fast and funky” and sultry “dance diva” patterns (with a Latin flair). For added variety, each segment also has a complementary upper-body movement (e.g. “Popeye arms,” “Chiquita banana arms”). ©2005. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Crunch: Cardio Dance Blast!

Fun teacher/workout
I like the instructor & the dance workout. I like how the workout is in segments. You can do the whole workout at once or in parts throughout the day. - posted by Holly on 12/11/2011
Quickly Became My Favorite!
I love this video. It's a lot of fun and before you know it you are cooling off. She is very good at letting you know what is coming up. I am the queen of videos and this is by far my favorite right now. - posted by Grace on 9/16/2011
Great for starting out!
I bought this DVD back when I was 50 lbs overweight and had some half-baked idea of becoming healthy, and I'm SO glad I did. It's a lot of fun, not too hard, and Marie is very engaging. I've moved on to more challenging workouts since, but this is the first workout DVD I ever did that made exercising fun. - posted by Em on 6/14/2011
No Cardio But Fun
I've been using this tape for years but it does NOT increase my heart rate but I like the dance moves; they're fun! - posted by Stacey on 3/9/2011
Great
I really like the workout. I am taking time to learn it as some of my joints don't work like they used to. Once I know all the steps it will be super. I modify steps I am unable to do. It works quite well for me! I definitely need the cardio and I love to dance. - posted by Karen Napper on 2/3/2011
Fun workout
I loved this workout! It was just what I was looking for. I liked the instructor and all the dance in it. I needed something low impact that was fun and this was it. - posted by Marilyn on 2/3/2011
My Favorite Crunch Dance Workout
I thought this was a lot of fun. Sometimes the Crunch workouts seem very pretentious but I didn't feel that way with this one. I thought the instructor cued well the moves were simple but challenging enough to keep you interested. I will definitely try this one again. - posted by Missy on 3/11/2010
I've Warmed Up To This Rather Quickly :)
Okay, I'm one of those uncoordinated girls who find it hard to move her arms and legs the right way simultaneously. The first time I did this, I looked like a complete moron and thought that it might have been a waste of money since the dances are so quick-paced and the moves are a little big for me. But after working out every day for at least 30 minutes (usually alternating between strength-training, cardio, tai chi, yoga, etc.), I decided to try it again a week later. I was surprised at how fun the dances were and how well I improved on them. Yes, it does have a little "cheese factor" with some of the outfits and the moves but it's a great workout overall and you get a nice sweat and feel happier. It's now in my weekly rotation. - posted by Lindsey on 8/19/2009
Am I Doing The Same Workout?
I had to triple check that I was doing the same workout as all the reviewers here. I cannot believe this is a staff favorite! It's SO boring, easy, annoying, etc. I don't even know where to start...My heartrate never got elevatated, and I was modifying to make things harder (i.e. jogging instead of marching, jumping when they didn't). Her slow demos were painfully long, and she did it in every single section. Each section was super short, so at least they didn't drag out, but I think I get a better workout walking to my mailbox. Oh, and don't get me started on the giant, fake smiles on all the women in the DVD, and the instructor who repeats the same phrases over and over and over...Just, no. - posted by Jamie on 7/22/2009
Flew by!
I really love all the dance Crunch videos, and this is no exception. It truly flies by. The best part is, I kept having to stop to check my heart rate, because I couldn't really tell I was working... And yes, it was way up there! I recommend this video to anyone who wants to burn extra calories and feel totally silly (in the best way possible) at the same time. Excellent! - posted by Mandy on 5/18/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
