Time graph for Crunch: Yoga Body Sculpt
A flowing series of toning-focused poses led by a friendly, low-key instructor. Bethany Lyons emphasizes having fun and enjoying the moment — not mastering every position (“it’s okay if you want to drop your knees …”). Her cuing is detailed and clear; beginners will have no trouble following along. The moves are familiar classics — each carefully selected and sequenced to build flexibility and tone your muscles. Mostly lower body and core-targeted, they include the warrior to shape your legs and the boat pose to firm your abs. It ends with a super-relaxing, muscle-by-muscle stretch segment. ©2008. Crunch: Yoga Body Sculpt

Not a keeper
I ordered this DVD because of a favorable magazine review. However I found it to be TOO EASY! I really enjoy yoga but with a one year old at home I don't usually get the quiet that I like to pop in a yoga DVD. Sometimes after not doing yoga for a while I will feel particularly challenged holding the poses & I can usually really feel the stretches. Not so much while doing this. If you want to tone your legs & butt don't do this one. Try Yoga Sculpt with Karen Voight. It is really good. This hurt my knees as well. If you want relaxation and no challenge this will work. I sent it back. - posted by Melissa on 9/15/2009
I Like It
I have tons of yoga DVDs, and power yoga is favorite. This is really enjoyable-challenging without being impossible, and the instructor is very friendly. I like the 40 minute length, because I can't always fit an hour of yoga into my day. - posted by Jamie on 7/30/2009
the single best yoga workout I have ever done
I love yoga; yoga doesn't love me. I have fibromyalgia, and I find that most classes really HURT my hands, wrists, shoulders. This DVD was perfect for me. The down-dogs are spaced out; likewise the planks. Very well-sequenced, great pacing. I enjoyed the 'crunch' feel, recognizing some of the class participants from other DVDs. The music is enjoyable but not intrusive; the 'crunch' fitness studio familiar. For me, this is a perfect all-levels workout (beginner modifications shown). Thank you Collage, for bringing this workout into my life. - posted by Bertha on 6/20/2009
I Will Definitely Do This Workout Again
I work out regularly (5+ days a week), but usually stick to cardio and muscle toning excercises. I have attempted to get into yoga numerous times, but have been bored by every other attempt. Bethany's instruction is a nice blend of relaxation and upbeat attitude which will get me to do the workout again. Even though this exercise is rated a begin/inter level, I did feel some burn too. I highly recommend the DVD to anyone trying to get into yoga. - posted by Maria on 5/14/2009
Not For Me
The instructor says the word "beautiful" several times and it started to irritate me. The background music was hard for me to hear. Not necessarily a bad workout I guess, but definitely not a good fit for me. I ended up giving it away. - posted by Raina on 4/28/2009
One of my favorite new yoga workouts!
I love this workout! Bethany's cuing is clear and precise and the pace is nice~not too rushed, which I don't like. The warmup is effective for the flowing poses that follow and I really enjoy the relaxation at the end. I'm an high beginner/low intermediate in my yoga practice and this was perfect for me. - posted by Elaine on 2/12/2009
Great Yoga Workout
I really do like Crunch and am a certified yoga instructor so I thought I would give this a try. I really enjoyed it. The instructor is really good and the moves just challenging enough that you will not get bored. This DVD would work well for beginner or intermediate. I highly recommend it. - posted by Lori on 12/4/2008
Yoga Body Sculpt
I recently purchased this dvd and I love it. I have taken yoga classes at Crunch with Bethany. She is great yoga teacher and her cueing is excellent. This dvd is for advanced beginning to intermediate exercisers. This dvd begins with a gentle warm up and then goes into a flowing series geared to sculpt the core and lower body. You will find lots of Warrior and lunge style poses. Also downward facing dog, plank and Boat poses. She also has someone showing modifications of the yoga poses. She ends the dvd with nice relaxtion poses. You can close your eyes for a few minutes and breath. Who doesnt need that after a long day. :-) - posted by Glossy01 on 11/2/2008

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
