Time graph for Dance Off the Inches Hip-Hop Party

A fun little fat-burner with three distinct hip hop styles: old school, sexy-smooth and world-beat. Poppin’ and dippin’ … shakin’ and jumpin’ — you’re burning calories as you work your midsection. The entire program has a party atmosphere — these girls are definitely having fun. Jennifer Galardi begins with hip hop classics like “butterfly” and “throw down.” Then it’s a sassy series of hip rolls, “slithers” and “catwalks.” You’ll end with a high-energy blend of Latin and Bollywood style moves. Jennifer’s straight-forward instruction includes some great visual cues (e.g. “move like spaghetti”). DVD has a 15-minute hip hop dance tutorial. All instrumental music (no vocals). ©2007. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Dance Off the Inches Hip-Hop Party

Fantastic Workout!
This was my first DOTI dvd, and it definitely did not disappoint! The three routines are high energy and a lot of fun to dance to! Jennifer Galardi is a great instructor, lots of energy but not sickeningly so. I love everything about this dvd - I have absolutely no dance experience and was able to pick this up really quickly. Definitely a keeper and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to do a workout that is so fun, it doesn't even seem like work! - posted by Blayne on 6/28/2008
Makes to you feel good about yourself and fun.
I’m a beginner/intermediate and my goal is to lose 40 to 50 pounds. This is my favorite exercise video, and I just purchased it today. The instructor is good with her cues and makes the workout fun. I like how she keeps the same pace even when she breaks down the dance steps. I can’t dance and learning dance steps are a challenge for me. I did pretty well for following the workout for the first time and the moves aren’t as challenging as I thought they might be. I love that at the end it feels as if you weren’t exercising, but just learning a dance routine. It’s just fun and definitely a stress reliever. It puts me in a good mood and it’s a motivation in itself. - posted by Jen on 6/18/2008
Makes You Strut, Sweat & Smile
This is my second Jennifer Galardi work-out, and she has become one of my favorite video instructors despite the fact that I have two left feet. Her work-outs are just plain fun, and I sweat w/o feeling too, too challenged. It's a good intermediate work-out. - posted by Julie on 3/17/2008
Jennifer Does it Again
I was fooled by the first few minutes of this video, I thought it would not get my heart rate up very much. Wrong! It takes awhile to learn the steps, Jennifer refers to the Step Guide more often than the other videos in the DOTI series, and I admit, I always skip the Step Guide. If you really put yourself into the routine you will get a great workout, I was sweating by the second dance! There is the Old School section, the Smooth Section and the World Section, my favorites were the Smooth (very sexy), and the World (surprise heartrate booster at the end of the video). Jennifer has done another great video, I own all of her videos and could have an entire rotation with just her as an instructor. Keep them coming, Jenn! - posted by Cat on 3/17/2008
I am sweating!!
First of all, I am seriously physically challenged when it comes to learning dance moves and I stay away from complex steps at all cost. SO Jennifer's step-guide that teaches all the moves first saved my life and made this workout REALLY enjoyable. I am just starting out (about 15 pounds to lose) and it was about right for me in terms of exertion. The level of intensity, however, is up to you---I kept the hopping and dipping to a minimum, and it is going to take me more than one run-thru to figure out the arms, so it was okay for me as a beginner. There is room for improvisation, and she stresses that the workout is for having FUN as well as getting into shape. So I see myself using this now AND as I progress. I wish there were more DVDs like this. - posted by Amy on 2/21/2008
Very fun and a good workout
I have one of Jennifer's other work-outs and both are a blast. This, if anything, is even more fun than the last and not too hard to follow and you definitely get your heart rate up more than a few times. - posted by Julie on 2/15/2008
I LOVE it!:)
I'm intermediate/advanced level, and I found this hip hop session so fun!I haven't danced hip hop before, so the first 2 times it was a little "weird", but Jennifer is a great instructor, so you get the hang of it pretty fast! You really get to work your abs, if you think of your abs while your doing the routines - any cardio work out is just as though as you want it to be, remember that:) I would recommend this video - by just working out to it almost every day the last week and a half, my abs have improved alot - FUN abs/dance (cardio)workout!:) - posted by Grethe on 2/2/2008
The BEST dance video ever
I have done a lot of dance videos, and this one guarantees a calorie burn every time. I like this video much better than Jennifer's Crunch dance video, which gets very old quickly. This video is fun every time! It hurts SO good! - posted by Rachel on 1/20/2008
Hard, but good
I bought this tape because I wanted some true Hip Hop moves. I had Hip Hop Abs but the moves were watered down and were basically pop moves. This lady's dance moves are fun, sexy, and challenging and definitely are hip hoppy. I have only been able to do two routines so far (there are three), but I work up a sweat in the 30 minutes. This is one of my favorite exercise videos to date. - posted by Bettie on 1/17/2008
Funky, sexy, hot
This is the best Dance Off the Inches workout yet. I found "Cardio Party," "Tummy Tone," and "Sizzlin' Salsa" too easy and, worse, cheesy--fake, even. I've mastered Jennifer Galardi's Crunch:Fat-Burning Dance Party and Prevention:Dance It Off. Her Dance off the Inches Hip-Hop Party is really challenging because the moves are complex, the dance tempo never slows down, and Jennifer takes us through each of the three routines three or four times. But, as always, Jennifer makes the routines really fun, this time by adding some hip rolls, booty pops, and exotic steps in the choreography. It makes you feel really sexy--and you get your cardio in, too. - posted by Elena on 1/14/2008

Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
