Time graph for Dance with Julianne - Cardio Ballroom
A solid fat-burner powered by Julianne Hough’s contagious energy and proven “Dancing with the Stars” teaching expertise. She makes it easy to learn the moves, have fun and shape up. Julianne begins each dance with the basic patterns plus some “filler” steps (to help with the transitions). Then, she slowly drops the fillers and guides you into full-fledged dance sequences. You get three distinct dance styles: Sexy cha chas with lots of hip and waist moves. Fast-paced Jive that really gets your heart rate up. And Paso Doble that focuses on strength, control and power. The DVD also includes a well-taught, 11-minute dance tutorial. ©2009. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen, Region 1.

Dance with Julianne - Cardio Ballroom

Dance with Julianne
This shows too much of her face and body and not enough of her feet or the steps. - posted by Kay on 7/8/2010
Great fun
Julianne is so full of energy and enthusiasm, it just rubs off on you. This is difficult for this 60 year old, it will take months to learn, but is so much fun! It is well cued, and the dance moves are tricky. It is more like dancing than working out, and I like that. - posted by Janie on 7/5/2010
Fun Fun Fun
New respect for Dancing With the Stars contestants. Julianne is adorable and fun. The dance movements are a little challenging in the beginning, but once I caught on they were fun. I love to dance and am in good shape for 73 years. - posted by Ruth on 7/1/2010
FUN FUN FUN!
I was hesitant to buy a celebrity dvd, but I'm glad that I did! This one is SO much fun and doesn't leave out the important warm up and stretch at the end. The music is great, and the dance moves are very modern which is hard to find in exercise videos! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because, as previously mentioned by other reviewers, it doesn't show her feet enough to learn what she is doing and sometimes it did seem out of sync. It was kind of hard to learn but not impossible! You will have a blast if you get this one! - posted by T on 6/24/2010
The Most Fun Ever
This is one of the most fun videos I have ever done. Julianne's enthusiasm is infectious, the music is upbeat, and the choreography works your whole body. As a former dancer, I loved the warmup, which was right out of the dance studio. The steps were relatively basic, taught in a way that (I think) is accessible to all levels, because the more advanced you are, the more you know how to engage all your muscles and the more you sweat! Reverse the steps on your own, though, because, like all dance exercise videos, alternating the lead foot is apparently waaaay too much to ask. - posted by Sarah on 5/27/2010
Too Easy....
I was very excited to get this video when I saw the preview on Collage but when I got home I was very disappointed. The video is not hard I barely even worked up a sweat. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! - posted by Julie on 5/17/2010
Great workout, inspiring instructor
I love this workout - it's great fun and Julianne has an infectious energy. The choreography is not that complex, it's just that the movements are very fast. I started with the dance lesson first and went through that twice, then did the workout. I've done the workout twice now and can keep up so if you're patient it does pay off! There are 3 sections - cha cha, jive and paso doble. If the jive section doesn't get your heart rate up, I don't know what will! Julianne is lovely and lots of fun, and definitely motivating as she has a fantastic physique. I hope she comes out with another dance dvd soon! - posted by Christine on 4/29/2010
Full of Energy
Julianne had great energy to pump you up to start off your work out. I think when you get the steps down you will get a much better work out but if not, it is frustrating when you don't sweat thinking that you wasted about half an hour. - posted by Pyone on 4/15/2010
Hardly easy....
I really like Julianne's enthusiasm, and the dances looked really fun, but I agree with a previous comment about the camera angles being terrible. I wanted to focus on her feet so I could attempt to understand the footwork, but the camera kept focusing on her face. I am by no means a dancer, but I am not uncoordinated. I was tripping all over myself and got really frustrated that I couldn't get the footwork, partially because of the cameras, partially because it's fairly complex. Definitely check out the video on here as well as the youtube videos before deciding to purchase this one! - posted by Lacey on 3/20/2010
Fun!
This has to be the most fun video I have ever purchsed! I am a video junkie- and this one rocks! I am no Julianne- but I sure have fun! And I definitely work up a sweat! I do have a little bit of dance background- so if you do not- hang in there! Once you get her ques- it gets a lot easier to follow! I actually have purchased a few more as gifts! - posted by Lisa on 3/19/2010

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
