Deepak & Tara's Weight Loss & Balance

Love It!!!
I love this workout! It incorporates all of the yoga moves I love in one workout. I wish I had more time to do it more than 3 times a week. I even now have my husband doing it with me. - posted by Lori on 4/19/2012
great workout
I just bought and tried it. I love this video. What is nice is that you do not have to keep your eyes glued to the TV. Her instruction is very helpful. Constant movement from one pose to another. The 50 minutes went by fast and I feel very limber and relaxed. A keeper. - posted by Laura on 2/14/2012
Good Video
I enjoy doing this video.. however..... the instructor says 'good you guys' and 'awesome you guys' waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much .... oherwise good cuing, postures, etc... - posted by Sue on 2/2/2012
Great video
This video is a good step up to intermediate yoga. Instruction is low key but still there. You can use the video without instruction too. - posted by Andrea on 1/19/2012
zen=calm instruction!
Tara's instruction is constant, yet calm. It is good. I am glad because you know just what to do and what is coming because of her instruction when you cannot look up at the screen. The moves are good and flow at a nice pace. I felt very calm, yet well worked afterwards. I really am glad I got this one. - posted by Tracy AZGal on 1/18/2012
Fantastic...it will put you in your zen.
I loved every part of this dvd. Tara Stiles is a great teacher. Her manner is very calm and encouraging...she encourages you to enjoy the place you are in your practice...to listen to your body. Deepak and Tara make a perfect team. I loved the meditation component. I can not say enough about how great this dvd was. What a great series this is. Go get there is nothing intimidating about these two. - posted by Phoenix on 12/9/2011
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.
sample time graph
Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Music only option
X
This feature allows you to play only the music, without any cuing (after you’ve learned the movements and you just want to do the workout without listening to the instruction).
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Stretch type
X
Athletic: Traditional sports-style, all-physical stretches. It is the least mind-body focused.

Yoga: Carefully designed poses that emphasize breath, concentration and mental awareness. It also includes the more flowing yoga style – Power Yoga.

Tai Chi: All-standing, very fluid poses (it looks like a person moving in slow-motion). The Chinese called Tai Chi "meditation in motion."

Stretch: Yoga
X
Definition: A flowing series of movements and "poses." Includes yoga and power yoga (a more intense yoga variation). Both types have a strong emphasis on breath, body awareness and mental focus.

Benefits: Increases flexibility. Restores a healthy mind/body balance. Relaxes and rejuvenates.
