Certified instructor description: Classic strength-oriented yoga followed by an informational and meditation section. The yoga moves are specifically chosen to build lean muscle while also boosting your energy level. Tara Stiles leads the yoga program; her cuing is straight-forward and easy to follow. The moves range from simple poses like plank and downward dog to more challenging exercises like crow, dolphin, half moon and reverse table. Deepak Chopra's info section details the importance of breath and flow while also explaining the transformational benefits of yoga (including a special segment on “strength, power and flexibility”). The ending meditation is simply tranquil scenery and relaxing music (no talking). The entire program is filmed in California's stunning Joshua Tree National Park. ©2011. Deepak Chopra & Tara Stiles' Strength & Energy

Awesome Yoga Workout!!!
I love this yoga routine. I am a home yoga practicer and was getting pretty bored with other yoga dvds. I love tara stiles yoga book and couldn't wait to purchase this yoga dvd. It is unique, fun, and challenging all at the same time. I love it so much that I will attend her yoga live class when I go to New York. She gives great pointers on how to make yoga poses more doable or actually doable. I haven't had an instructor on a yoga dvd that does it quite the way she does it relating to excellent pointers. I know this yoga dvd will be in rotation for months to come. - posted by Tiffany on 2/13/2012
Just OK...
I did not like this yoga workout...Don't like it when the instructor goes from one person to the next. She almost looked like she was bored...I was bored. However, the portion with Deepak was good. I gave it 2 stars because the outside location is beautiful. - posted by Silvia on 1/13/2012
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Music only option
X
This feature allows you to play only the music, without any cuing (after you’ve learned the movements and you just want to do the workout without listening to the instruction).
Wide screen
X
The program fully fills a wide-screen television screen. Note: These videos will display black bars at the top and bottom on a traditional 4 x 3 ratio TV screen.
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Stretch type
X
Athletic: Traditional sports-style, all-physical stretches. It is the least mind-body focused.

Yoga: Carefully designed poses that emphasize breath, concentration and mental awareness. It also includes the more flowing yoga style – Power Yoga.

Tai Chi: All-standing, very fluid poses (it looks like a person moving in slow-motion). The Chinese called Tai Chi "meditation in motion."

Stretch: Yoga
X
Definition: A flowing series of movements and "poses." Includes yoga and power yoga (a more intense yoga variation). Both types have a strong emphasis on breath, body awareness and mental focus.
