Certified instructor description: Two very different workout techniques: fast-paced power yoga and dumbbell-intensified yoga. Both programs combine Denise’s legendary enthusiasm with a bright set and “fitness style” cuing (no mention of “chakras” here). The first workout features a varied medley of balance and opening poses. It includes lots of modifications and options (“remember, yoga is a personal practice”). The second program is a little harder. It adds a body-sculpting element with light dumbbells and some classic toning moves (e.g. Denise integrates bicep curls into a warrior pose). Requires 2 to 5 lb. dumbbells. ©2010. DVD has: Wide screen, Close captions, Region 1.

enjoy denise and her workout. i like the length and level of this dvd - posted by Lynne on 2/2/2012
Loved it!
I loved this one! I am really not a YOGA person and don't like yoga in general but I love this one. It's easy, you don't have to go down and up too often, you first do standing poses and then on the floor poses, not as stressful on the joint..Really good, Denise's cuing is excellent in this one. - posted by LOLA on 1/17/2012
SHE DID IT AGAIN!!!!
As a fitness and yoga instructor for close to 20 years now-I can say without a doubt that Denise is superb in this DVD! There are two 30 minute segments-one for beginners, and the other more advanced. Denise is informative, talking you through the poses. She shows modifications and explains how the pose is beneficial, and all the while, educating on which muscles are being used..I can assuredly say, you don't get all of that in a typical yoga class. Denise is upbeat, as she always is, but speaks to her audience in a soothing, relaxed manner. She tells you to do your best, and to listen to your body. Denise ceases to amaze me-one of a kind gal..Try this yoga DVD, you can't lose as it is less than or equal to the cost of your typical yoga class. The very best part is you can do it in your living room-whenever your schedule allows! Start the New Year off right-try Denise Austin's fantastic Hot Yoga DVD today! - posted by Laura on 1/9/2012
Good for a Recovery Workout
The workouts themselves were pretty good. I have done better yoga DVD's before that made me push myself and made me sweat alot more but for a mid-week recovery workout, this was pretty good. To feel like I actually did something I had to do both yoga segments. I wasn't too keen on the instructor or the organization and structure of the video but I would definitely do the video again. - posted by Lisa on 10/27/2011
Denise Austin Hot Body Yoga
She is not a Yogi. Way too much talking. Yoga is quiet and relaxing. This was anything but. She needs to stick to regular exercise workouts where she does very well. - posted by Nancy on 10/21/2011
Good
I liked the Yoga Fit section because it is different from a lot of the other yoga tapes I have. There are no sun salutations, just a series of basic yoga poses--chair, balancing, side angle, standing stick, etc. It was pretty easy, too, so I would classify it more as beginner than intermediate. I have not yet done the Yoga Sculpt section of the tape. - posted by Anne on 10/11/2011
Denise is simply the BEST....
I love this hot body yoga DVD... I love Denise's positive energy. She makes me want to do this. I have already lost inches around my waistline and feel so good all day long after I do her yoga dvd. Denise is the best fitness expert because she just "gets it". now I LOVE yoga .. thanks to Denise - posted by Peggy on 9/19/2011
Not as expected
I thought this was going to be like Denise's Yoga Body Burn or Yoga Buns. Those workouts are demanding and you sweat! Not like Barons or Brian's workouts, those are extremely challenging and I love them. I saw intermediate and thought it would be good for me. This workout is good for a beginner/intermediate. The nice change-up is the workout with weights, a nice twist on yoga! It is a great workout and I give it 4 stars. - posted by Mesh on 9/8/2011
Really Nice Yoga Practice
I really enjoy using Hot Body Yoga. I'm a high beginner/low intermediate in yoga and this is perfect for me. With the first practice, Yoga Fit, Denise goes at a nice pace~not to fast, and the postures allowed me to stretch, strengthen and work a bit of a sweat. I especially liked the balancing postures. Denise is also calmer in her yoga workouts, which some people may like. Definitely recommend this one. - posted by Elaine on 8/23/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
