Certified instructor description: A graceful program that effortlessly blends fluid aerobics into dancer-inspired toning. It’s precisely formatted as a “movement crescendo” — the workout starts with low reps, advances to high reps and then “tightens” back down to low reps. The moves include Ellen’s favorites like “happy feet” and “rainbow lunges” (side lunges with overhead arm circles). All the exercises include a body sculpting benefit — from simple plié-style leg toning to upper/lower-body cross-body moves. It’s a gentle, but surprisingly effective, workout with quiet music and smooth flowing exercises (done barefoot). As always, Ellen's girl-next-door cuing is motivating and fun. ©2013. Ellen Barrett's Super Fast Body Blast

Blissful Cardio!
I love the 30 min time frame, I love the movements, I love the music and the set and the background exercisers too! Ellen is terrific as usual-I love to have a fun and blissful cardio routine to do! I usually do not like cardio-but this works perfectly for me-it tricks me into cardio because it is fun and has an atmosphere of joy in movement and the music! Fusion at its finest. Keep these coming Ellen please. - posted by TracyAZGal on 5/24/2013
Ellen is inspirational
This workout is fun and it always makes me sweat. Ellen gives the best cues of anybody in the business. As with all of Ellen's workouts, I never dread doing this one. And exercising barefoot has truly changed my life. My feet have never felt better. Please keep your wonderful DVDs coming, Ellen. - posted by Patricia on 5/24/2013
Ellen does it again!
Bit different than other Ellen routines. Wish the music was a bit better and the sound mix was better so we could hear Ellen's instructions better. Still a keeper for your Ellen collection. - posted by Jenee on 5/23/2013
Fun workout
I enjoyed this DVD. I've done it a couple of times. I agree that Ellen uses repetition of moves a lot...but I kind of like that. At 5am, I'm not very awake or coordinated, so for me, I find comfort in that! Her workouts, all of them, to me are wonderful. They're so energizing and no-dread. I just love that my body feels fully woken up, stretched, and ready to go. She definitely has a gift for what she does. She is upbeat and enthusiastic without being fake or patronizing. - posted by Uma on 5/23/2013
awesome
Efficient, sweat inducing, and energy lifting. I LOVE this one! - posted by Mary on 5/18/2013
Another Great One
I am new to Ellen's workouts...having mainly Denise Austin cardio/strength DVDs. But I recently bought Ellen's Grace and Gusto, Super Fast Body Blast and Slim Sculpt. I love the 1/2 hour format. I also love the fact that this is a combination of cardio/strength/stretch; I got rid of my D.A. yoga tapes because they only stretch you and you hardly burn any calories. This is perfect...burned 250 calories in 30 minutes and was dripping with sweat. I also felt stretched. As a former ballet dancer, I loved that it felt like dancing! - posted by Jennifer on 5/3/2013
Genius Workout!
When I first saw the reviews, I wasn't sure I would like it. But I must say I LOVE this workout. It's short and sweet, the moves are simple, so you can take advantage of every minute. As always, Ellen is extremely encouraging and sweet and the music was simply great. It's not the typical hardcore workout, but it can trick you: it seems really easy, but at the end, I broke a sweat and felt extremely satisfied, worked out and serene. Very recommendable! - posted by Andra Corina on 4/19/2013
I thought I was in better shape!
Oh wow, I am stiff all over today, I have really underestimated this 30 min. I love Ellen, and barefoot cardio is my all time favourite. It was way harder than it felt. Please Ellen give us more express workouts, it is just brilliant. - posted by Antoinette on 4/16/2013
Great work out
Ellen gives you simple moves and you think that you're not going to sweat until the next thing you know, you're dripping. It's nice to have a shorter work out from time to time and this is a really good one. This isn't as hard as some of Ellen's work outs, but to me it was just hard enough. Ellen makes the moves just easy enough that it is a deceptively hard work out. - posted by Toni on 4/13/2013
Another Ellen Barrett Must Have!
I just got this DVD in the mail...it was so much fun and I started to sweat within minutes, it went by so fast! I love working out barefoot with Ellen's new Live Series...this workout is too much fun! No mental gymnastics required! Don't delay order this workout today...you won't be disappointed if you want a fun, fast, sweat producing workout with an awesome fun instructor! - posted by Robin on 4/9/2013

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Chapter menus
X
You can play only the individual workout segments you want by picking them off a chapter menu (one at a time).
Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.

Moderate: More interesting than Basic, less dancy than Complex.

Toning emphasis
X
Upper body: Arms, chest and back.

Lower Body: Legs, thighs, hips and buttocks.

Abs: Abdominals (stomach), core and sometimes lower back.

Total body: Tones all three of the above muscle groups.

Floor aerobics & toning
X
Definition: Includes two workout activities. The aerobics segments are fast-paced standing movements like marching, dancing and jumping. These segments require no equipment. The toning sections are slow, controlled movements working against a resistance. These may include Pilates and weight training.

Benefits: The combination of both activities provides a balanced workout. The aerobics burns calories, strengthens your heart and increases stamina. The toning builds lean muscles, increases your metabolism and makes everyday activities easier.
