Time graph for Firm Body Sculpting System 2 - Firm Abs

Lots of variety in three progressively-more-intense ab programs (both classic Firm and Pilates-inspired). You’ll use the Fanny Lifter to increase the range of motion and the Sculpting Stick to add intensity. Not many “plain old crunches” here; instead it’s a diverse, fast-changing series of ab and back routines (e.g. leg walks alternated with leg presses or reverse curls with your knees at an angle). Each segment builds on the previous one to boost the intensity (e.g. a simple hip raise in section one becomes a hip raise lifting the Stick in section three). They use a 14" Fanny Lifter, or High Step, and a Sculpting Stick — a regular step and a body bar will also work. ©2003. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Firm Body Sculpting System 2 - Firm Abs

Wonderful
This is a great ab workout, I use to struggle and hate working by abs but that has all changed. Each segment is just enough to get a good burn. Before starting this workout I was unable to do planks and now they are my favorite. Overall, I am a Firm Believer and I swear by the products, the program has transformed my body and my way of life. - posted by Jocelyn on 6/22/2008

ABsolutly the Best!
This ab workout is so great. I love that it is broken up into three different segments. This allows you to train your abs at different intensities every time you use it. I own it on VHS so I can do workout 1 then stop the tape when it ends and it will be ready for me the next day when I want to do workout 2. I have been using it for almost two years and I am still seeing and feeling results! You will ABsolutly love this workout! - posted by Emily on 3/17/2007
Good for the Abs
I enjoy this ab workout. I do all three at once in order to really feel it. Nancy is awesome and is great at explaining the moves...the workout is exciting and not just crunch after crunch! I recommend it, but not to those with rock hard abs - it is definately intermediate. - posted by Sarah on 10/23/2005
Good Abs Workout, But ......
This is a very effective workout for ones abs, but my frustration with the dvd is there is no menu to choose one of the workouts if one wants to do only a short ab routine. One has to do the entire workout everytime (and who has time for that every day), or fast forward through at least one, sometimes two workouts - and who has time for that. Firm instructors really weren't thinking when they put together this dvd! Sorry -this one little thing is what causes me to avoid using this workout more often. - posted by Jane on 4/24/2005
Good ab workout!
I hated this workout the first time I tried. After a year of letting it sit on my shelf, I decided to try it again and I LOVE IT! When you want some extra ab work, this is a great selection. It's annoying to use the sculpting stick but you can really leave it out if you want to and just improvise. - posted by Teresa on 12/5/2004
My favorite abs!
I love this Ab workout. I feel challenged throughout them all and boy do my abs feel it the following day! Nancy is a great instructor. Awesome add-on for shorter cardio videos (such as Calorie Killer or Super Cardio Sculpt) that do not have ab components to them. Love this! - posted by Raye on 7/11/2004
Unique and Effective!
This new DVD from The FIRM is split into three abdominal workouts. And they aren't the same old stuff. The moves get more intense with each workout and feature a blend of some pilates and yoga strengthening. If you're really tired of plain old crunches, try this workout- you won't be sorry. It will challenge you, and the music is quite entertaining- it just "fits" with the moves. You may want to get the Sculpting Stick to use with this one. It's a very good body bar and it's fun to use. It makes the workouts more effective (sometimes you place the stick under your knees or use the "twigs" to intensify crunches).Kitka - posted by Catwoman on 4/28/2004
Best ab workout
I think this is the best ab workout I have ever done. I have lots of exercise videos, including 21 Firms, and I just love this tape. Nancy is a great intructor. This tape has 3 segments, so you can do one, two or all three for a killer ab set. There are some really challenging side planks in this video. Nancy incorporates the sculpting stick to add more resistance to some of the moves. Firm Abs is an excellent tape! - posted by Amy on 9/12/2003
I love this video!
I love the three segments in the video! I am new to the firm and really like that I can choose from three segments of increasing difficulty. It can easily be added to any firm video that does not have an ab segment. I also like the way the sculpting stick is incorporated into the routines. A - posted by Michele on 7/18/2003
Good Abs Video
Time goes by very quickly in these 10 min. ab sections. The first one is pretty easy for non-beginners, second one is really good, third one even better. Great set, Nancy is one of the best.Would recommend to add this to other videos. - posted by Andrea on 7/1/2003

Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
