Certified instructor description: A lower-body-focused workout that combines classic squats and lunges with newer core and balance techniques. You’ll definitely firm your buttocks and thighs as you’re motivated by the movement variety (and Gilad’s boot camp-style charisma/energy — “now drive it!” “pull, pull!”). It’s more than an endless series of basic lunges — instead, you’ll get pulses, supersets, progressions, short/long range-of-motion and lots of core focus (which often makes a standard routine feel and perform differently). Gilad also includes short breaks between the sets — they range from simple stretches to almost-cardio step-touches and jumping moves. Filmed on a Hawaiian beach. ©2006. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Gilad's Ultimate Body Sculpt Power & Grace

Good workout
I have used Gilad's videos for a long time and I think he always comes through. I wish that the intensity level was more challenging but overall I would recommend this workout. - posted by Suzi on 3/1/2012
Great travel DVD
This DVD is a great way to get a workout on the road, in a hotel room, because it's intense without the need for any equipment. Wonderful muscle toning for legs, butt, and arms if you're a road warrior like me. I use it at home, too, to prepare my legs for summer bike riding. As usual, Gilad is professional, clear, and no-nonsense. - posted by Pam on 5/27/2011
Good video
Classic Gilad, ultra basic moves with no equipment, but you will feel the burn! - posted by Denise on 2/23/2011
Gilad's always good
Gilad's workouts are always great -- Gilad himself is really likeable, enthusiastic and gung-ho, but not taking himself too seriously. The participants all seem to be having a good time. Everyone is good-looking and the scenery is spectacular. None of the steps are confusing and no special equipment is needed. - posted by Toni on 1/27/2011
Not great
I am a huge fan of Gilad and actually watched him on ESPN in the 80s with Bodies in Motion. This video does not have the same energy and pep. The music was awful- normally I don't even notice the music since I'm loving the scenery- but nothing could save this one. The routine was okay- I have to be careful of knee exercises due to recent surgery and this was painful at times-even with modifications. Gilad's Express workouts are much better! - posted by Julie on 1/27/2011
For a light day
I like Gilad... I was a little disappointed on the level of intensity though. - posted by Karen on 1/3/2011
Excellent hard workout
This DVD is my first experience with Gilad and I'm so impressed with him that I'm planning to order another couple of his programs. I've been exercising for several years now and lately I've been doing lots of aerobic work with Kathy Smith's workouts from the 80's. I think if I hadn't done this I wouldn't have been able to follow Gilad. Even so, I couldn't do some of the exercises, such as the balance and jumping wide starting from a bent position. However, I'm proud I could manage all the rest as the program is really more advanced than intermediate and sustaining the sort of crouching positions demand a lot of effort from the legs. My only criticism is that it should include some ab work to be more complete. - posted by Carmen on 1/2/2011
Gilad is great!
I love Gilad and his workouts have a place in my rotations. His instruction is excellent and he often has a twist on simple moves that get you later! This is a nice workout for all exercise levels. I like the balance and combination moves he uses. He is tough without making you feel like you can't do it. The last reps usually really burn. Gilad is great to workout with on those days where motivation is really low. I am glad I have this in my collection. - posted by Karen on 12/30/2010
Thanks, Gilad for Power & Grace
I'm enjoying Gilad's Power and Grace triple whammy workout. His cueing is great and he gives excellent explanations of what to do and why you should do it in the way described. I always enjoy the Hawaiian scenery and Gilad's enthusiastic colleagues. I feel as if I know them too. Thanks, Gilad! - posted by Marion on 8/29/2010
Different
I like this workout but felt it could have been longer and a bit tougher for the money. If you are deciding between this and a less expensive go with the less expensive. - posted by Patra on 8/2/2010

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
