Time graph for Gin Miller's Everybody Steps
By the inventor of step aerobics, it’s the perfect introduction to step workouts. You get a solid fat-burner as you learn all the step basics. If you’ve ever wanted to try step — at home or at the club — this is the program for you. An IDEA Instructor of the Year with 12 years of step experience, Gin knows what might be frustrating and how to make it understandable (“a tap is often used to change the lead leg”). The video has six distinct segments; you can advance at your own pace and stop when you want. You’ll begin with the simplest steps and the easiest patterns. By the end, you’ll have naturally progressed into classic step-aerobic combos (e.g. straddles, turns, transitions). ©2004. DVD has: Chapter menus.

Gin Miller Every Steps
This is a great video to learn how to step. It is very easy to follow and you get a great workout. - posted by Ellen on 8/26/2010
an old favorite
I purchased this video some time ago and have done it semi-regularly since. I enjoy Gin and I have another video of hers that I haven't started using yet. I learned a LOT from this video and I'm glad I started off w/ this one b/c it explained what the basic moves are: step touch, V step, grapevine, etc. It really helped when I started doing other videos and I already knew this stuff. :) I don't find this to be boring. I'd rather be given moves in slow motion so I can see them clearly demonstrated and know that I'm doing it right! Since I've done this video multiple times, I just march or something while she does the intro's - posted by kristen on 7/14/2010
A great step video
I LOVE this video. I had not done step in many years. The Gin Miller video made it very easy for me to start again. - posted by Leslie on 6/24/2010
not impressed
I bought a step from Collage Video and I wanted to start step classes at home. Every time I started them in the gym, i got discouraged and left the class before finishing it. This DVD is extremely basic and even for a beginner it's at to slow of a pace. In the video she says she will introduce steps that have alphabet names, but only mentions one of them. I don't feel confident after looking at this DVD that I can do a step class. - posted by Faina on 5/20/2010
This is an instructional workout
Today I did a Leslie Sansone one mile walk followed by two segments of this dvd. I am overweight and a beginner ( and have an old back/hip injury I am trying not to reaggravate) and found this video to be geared towards people at an intermediate level. It should be marketed as an instructional workout for people who have recently been working out. The DVD is very well organized; Gin Miller takes you through a warm-up and 6 segments of the moves at a fairly quick pace.--------------------- But Overall, I don't think she really understands someone who is beginning to work out after coming off an injury and who hasn't worked out in a while. This is a much more difficult workout than the Leslie Sansone one mile. Also, while I am extremely challenged when it comes to dance, I am fairly coordinated when it comes to basic to intermediate level stepping and don't need such an intensive break down of the moves. For those who find stepping challenging, I'm not sure this workout would be very useful after the first few times through. ( Gin Miller is very detailed in her instructions.) I did like that I was sweating with this video within 5-10 minutes and plan to continue using it by building up gradually. The target audience doesn't seem clearly defined, however, and the workout is a little fast paced for true beginners who don't find the choreography of step aerobics all that challenging. - posted by Jessica on 5/16/2010
Video is great.
It has been several years since I had done step, and thanks to this video I'm back into it and loving it. I recommend it to all my friends! - posted by Susan on 4/10/2010
Best Ever for Beginners
This is a great beginners step DVD. It breaks down each step to a pace any beginner can follow. The transition to new steps is just right. Five stars for Gin. - posted by Lori on 4/9/2010
A little boring!!
Don't get me wrong, I love Gin Miller, but this one is a little boring if your anything but a beginning stepper. - posted by Susan on 10/28/2009
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!
I had an abdominal hysterectomy several weeks ago. I am just now getting back into exercise and did not have a workout easy enough that I could do, so I ordered this one. I just did the workout for the first time, I could not use the step yet, that was too much! However, I was able to do the first 4 segments (40 Minutes) doing the step patterns on the floor. I'm very pleased, and I know I can get back into the exercise groove with this one. Thanks Gin Miller, for this dvd, there is a group of people that it helps. - posted by Nessa on 8/21/2009
Love Gin!
Being choreography-challenged, this was such a great intro to step! She's so clear and precise, and talks to you like she's in the room with you. And of course, being Gin, she's quite chatty. It's amazing, because it is pretty easy and doesn't seem like you're getting a particularly tough workout, but by the end of it I was sweating.. a lot! - posted by Louise on 6/1/2009

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
