Hot Country Workout

Loved it.
I really like this workout. It was fun. And I liked the music. I will work out with this for months to come. - posted by Jane on 11/15/2007
Ok fun, not a good workout!
I've danced country western and worked up a sweat but this was easy and just not enough of a workout for intermediat and advanced. If you just want a day to move around and work out tired sore muscles it may be good for you. It's not bad at all, just to easy. - posted by Margo on 7/28/2007

Really Fun
I couldn't wait to do this workout because it looked so fun, and it really is. It was about 45 minutes and the time flew by. Diane Horner is a really great instructor and I really like her. She is very motivating and says that the best workout in the world is one that you'll actually do. I agree with her. This one really got me sweating and the moves were pretty easy. You can tone it down if you need to and I did modify some of the higher impact moves to low impact. She also does a really nice stretching session at the end. The production quality was really excellent and the music was a little louder than her voice so you can enjoy the music. I think this is one of my top 10 favorite exercise videos of all time. - posted by Leeya on 1/2/2006
Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Level
X
Beginner: Just starting out, very overweight or haven't exercised in over six months.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.

Aerobics impact
X
Lower Impact: Both feet never leave the ground at the same time. This minimizes stress on your knees.

Higher Impact: Includes movements like jumps, hops and skips. Very high-impact is called plyometrics.

Mixed Impact: This alternates or combines the above styles.

Aerobics choreography
X
Basic: The easiest to follow. It ranges from simple walking-style marches to sports and athletic movements.

Complex: More intricate combinations and patterns. They're ideal for people who like to dance.
