If You Have Backpain

Substandard Video
I've used many exercise videos over the years, and I have to say, this instructor does a very poor job of cuing the exercises. She does not tell you the quantity of reps to do, or how long to hold a position, and the transition of one exercise to the next doesn't make sense. I will be returning this video. - posted by Joan on 1/20/2012
Balanced, calming, overpriced
This video is a short but balanced ab and back workout. The setting alternates between a studio and Lake Louise (gorgeous). The setting, music and instructor are very calming and welcome when you are in pain. I've used it consistently (as a regular exerciser it's easy and quick), but it's too soon for my back pain to have gone away. There are probably less expensive ab/back workout videos that would be fine. The therapeutic language/attitude etc., though, seems comforting when you are in pain. - posted by Jennifer on 6/16/2011
Excellent back exercises
My husband is a physical therapist and I needed motivation to keep doing exercises to keep my back strong. This video is short and sweet. The only minor thing I would change is that I would have it flow from 1 exercise to another better, if possible. It pained me to turn over all of the time, since the twisting motion is what bothers my back. However, she goes slow, which helps. The cuing could be slightly better when to relax contractions. I would definitely buy it again. - posted by Sharon on 3/24/2011
Good for my back
I have been taking Pilates for a couple years, but still seem to have back problems. I noticed a difference after using this tape twice a week for only a month. It targets just the right areas of the back. - posted by Sue on 3/14/2011
If you have backpain
Exercises were not easy to follow. You need to watch the screen to know what is expected. Transitions from one posture to another do not flow easily. The range of workout is from easy to hard. For example the last positions are quite difficult even though Kendyl says we do not have to do them. Probably regular work with what one can do will improve the strength of the core and may help an aching back. - posted by Heidi on 2/26/2011
Nicely Done
I have enjoyed my new dvd very much. I've seen quite a few exercise videos in my day so I feel confident saying that this was well done. Good setting, pleasant instructor, and only 20 minutes. I can do it almost every day, which I believe will help my back more than anything else. Keep building my core slowly but surely. - posted by Beth on 10/21/2010
take it from one who endures back pain daily.
I liked this exercise program/good ab workout. I have arthritis and a couple bulging disks in my back yet most of the exercises were comfortable to perform. Only one or two that I could not do as it would have caused strain and pain. She does give modifications for some, but not until toward the end of the exercise. Good to watch through it once first. - posted by Cheryl on 10/21/2010
Back Pain No More
Miss Singh has put together a series of exercises that are very do-able, easy to follow, and ultimately very beneficial for improving one's back pain. I have had recurring back pain, off and on, for several years. Physical Therapy is the only remedy that has worked for me in the past. However, Physical Therapy can be expensive. Enter Kendyl Singh with her "If you have backpain" video. In short, Kendyl is your personal Physical Therapist for the duration of this video. Since I've done both options (Physical Therapy and workout videos), I can honestly say that you can save yourself some money you would otherwise spend on Physical Therapy by simply going with Kendyl's video. The results are the same! - posted by Andrew on 10/16/2010

I like this video, seems to be helping Thanks. - posted by Ken on 10/7/2010
Disappointed
There was nothing worth the price - nothing more than an ab video can offer for less money. - posted by Rose on 9/13/2010

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
