Certified instructor description: Two fast-paced, non-stop workouts that use Jackie's "Power Pyramid" training system. The concept is simple — paired exercises that target a single muscle group with gradually increasing rep counts (e.g. one push-up, then one curl, then two push-ups, then two curls ... ending with ten push-ups and ten curls). It's an easy-to-follow technique that's both motivating and effective (no surprises, you just keep building intensity with more reps). For variety, Jackie sometimes tweaks the formula with smooth-transitioning progressions of multiple exercises (always working the same body part). Throughout, she provides tips on form plus lots of low-key encouragement. Requires 3 to 5 lb. dumbbells. ©2011. DVD has: Wide screen, Close captions, Region 1.

Loved It !!
Effective and Time efficient. Everything I need in an Exercise Program. - posted by Cindy C on 5/17/2012
Awesome workout!
This was my first "pyramid" workout and it is awesome! Jackie is very explicit in her directions and easy to follow. I really like this DVD, too, because it is broken down into two shorter workouts; or when time permits, there is an option for one workout, which incorporates both upper and lower body. I have been working out with weights for about 15 years and is a nice change from the "usual" routines. I definitely recommend this! - posted by Maria Johnston on 5/17/2012
Training with Jackie
I love Jackie's workouts. It's like having a personal trainer at home. Very pleased with my purchase! - posted by Noreen on 5/10/2012
good workout
this is a good full body workout with very light weights at a fast pace. The pace is so fast it gets your heart rate elevated and you get a nice muscle endurance workout at the same time. Pleased with it and will do it often. - posted by kristie on 5/10/2012
Good workout
Great video. The only thing I don't like is she goes quite fast and it can be a bit tough to keep up and do the exercises correctly and not hurt yourself. It would be a better work out if the pace was decreased just a little. I just do it a little slower and I still get a great workout. I do like listening to her and she is encouraging. I am 56 and have been exercising consistently since I was in my mid 20's. It is hard to keep your work outs fresh but this is a good one. - posted by Kathi on 5/9/2012
Effective and quick
I liked this video because it is effective and a quick workout. She kind of reminds me of Jillian Michaels. - posted by Renee on 5/6/2012
Great work out
This is just what I was looking for, I am a 53 year young woman and I have been looking for a video that can provide me weight lifting without a lot of jumping and aerobics incorporated into it...This is perfect really works out my muscles and gives me the workout I have been looking for without the stressful jumping. I give it a 10 - posted by Zoraida on 5/3/2012
Don't waste your time
One of the workouts is supposed to work the lower body as well but it doesn't. You need to stick with the lighter weights for the upper body portion and there's no time to switch to heavier weights for the lower body part. Also some of the moves are akward and she goes too fast. I did not like this at all - posted by Stefanie on 5/3/2012
quick and hardcore workoutT
This DVD is weight training that adds on sets. I really got a good burn. And I liked that it was about a 1/2 hour. - posted by mary on 4/27/2012

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
