Certified instructor description: A lot more than just yoga; you also get toning, stretch, breath and relaxation exercises. Each of the five segments focuses on a specific goal: Abs & Back, Energy, Strength, Mobility and Relaxation. There really are a huge variety of different exercises. For example: Abs & Back. You get Pilates planks, gym-style crunches and physical-therapy back stretches, plus lots of gentle yoga moves (e.g. cat's pose, child's pose). Other sections use techniques ranging from classic dumbbell toning to gentle guided meditations (“feel the tension leaving your body”). Jane's cuing is supportive, friendly and exceptionally thorough; you'll always know exactly what to do. 1 to 5 lb. dumbbells are suggested. ©2012. DVD has: Programmable chapters, Music only option, Spanish subtitle option, Close captions, Region 1.

Jane Fonda's AM/PM Yoga for Beginners

Great Yoga Video
I am 70 years old and have many yoga videos. This video has been one of the best because it is easy to follow and you don't have to get in uncomfortable poses. I'm very pleased with this video. - posted by Connie on 4/22/2013
Great video for people with physical limitations and those who require a slower pace
I have done yoga for many years, but am now 65 and needed something more practical for my age. I appreciated Jane's narration that flowed very well with the poses. I will continue to use this DVD in the future to improve flexibility and strength. - posted by Donna on 3/28/2013
Love It!!!
I've done Yoga in the past only a few times and liked it. I love this video. I have knee problems and this really helps to stretch out all your tendons which helps with knee pain. I use the PM video before I retire everynight and find it helps to calm me down and get a restful sleep. - posted by Cindy on 3/23/2013
She gives me hope
Jane and i are of the same generation and her video was very helpful when I was in my forties. Now that I am in my seventies, this video is kinder and gentler. I am delighted I can still do it!!! - posted by Elaine on 3/14/2013
AM/PM Yoga, Jane Fonda
I've come back to yoga (and Pilates) after trying a gym, and this new one from Jane Fonda is great. I've done some sort of workout from age 30 on, but now that I'm over 65, many aerobic workouts are just too fast. This one is easy to do, both morning and night; doesn't take an inordinate amount of time; and works all the muscles, particularly my core. I love the feature of choosing Jane's cueing, or just listening to the music. Nicely done! - posted by Annie on 3/11/2013
Great
I really like this because of it i have gotten more involved in yoga, i am 69 and after three weeks can see a difference in my body. - posted by Dotty on 2/28/2013
As per usual, Jane is perfect
Slow and easy Yoga routines. Very good for releasing that pain and stress that lodge in my lower back. - posted by Susana on 2/21/2013
Very Nice!
I enjoyed this video! Jane is very meticulous. The movements are done slowly and safely. I am an intermediate exerciser, in my 40s, and I would say this is a bit easy, but very enjoyable. There are a variety of ages of women working out with her. The first session is very pilates-like. The strength session uses weights, focusing on mobility, and it only has a bit of yoga in it. The rest are very yoga-focused and lots of nice stretching. There is an extra 5 minute balance session at the end. - posted by Cindy on 2/17/2013
Not bad
These are generally easy and effective enough short workouts that emphasize toning and stretching. What I miss is the feeling of well-being that a really good yoga workout can give, even at the beginning/senior level. Perhaps it's the format: even the relaxation segment seems incomplete, a little hurried. A few of the exercises are uncomfortable for those of us with limited upper-body and arm strength. I'll keep this DVD, though, for days and evenings when a brief session is all I have time for. - posted by Rebecca on 2/14/2013

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.

Programmable chapters
X
At the beginning of your workout, you can select the exact segments you want to play that day. The DVD will then play all those segments in the order you chose.
Music only option

This feature allows you to play only the music, without any cuing (after you’ve learned the movements and you just want to do the workout without listening to the instruction).
Spanish subtitle option
X
This video is instructed in English, but you can also choose to see Spanish subtitles.
Region 1
X
This DVD is designed for US and Canadian DVD players. It will NOT play in most foreign country players.

Intermediate: Active in sports, dance or any regular exercise (2 to 3 times per week).

Advanced: Very active in sports or consistently work out four or more times per week.
