Certified instructor description: Two straight-forward programs that feature a diverse medley of simple strength and balance exercises. Jane clearly understands that she — and many of her followers — have gotten older. So she’s designed these workouts to provide age-appropriate moves and benefit-driven cuing (“this move will help prevent falls”). The first workout is the easiest. It includes a blend of standing and sitting exercises (e.g. seated pelvic tilts). The second program is mostly standing; it uses proven moves like bicep curls, lateral raises and hamstring curls. Both workouts end with a soothing sequence of standing and seated stretches. No floorwork. Requires 2 to 5 lb. dumbbells. ©2010. DVD has: Wide screen, Close captions, Region 1.

Jane Fonda's Prime Time Fit and Strong

THIS IS GOOD FOR US 55+ SENIORS
I had a stroke this past summer and this has been a good workout for me. I'm glad I got it, I use it every day. - posted by JUDITH ROBERTSON on 5/18/2012
Jane Fonda's "Prime Time" is a hit!
I love this video, especially the second workout which is perfect for a senior like myself who is fairly active. Jane exercises important muscle groups and explains why. My sole criticism is that the first workout is a bit too easy but it's still good for beginners and those returning to exercise after a layoff. - posted by Pat on 4/19/2012
Fit & Trim
Very nice workout. Easy for beginners. I am a farmers wife over 50 now. Don't help like I use too. Very active all of my life. Once you slow down if you don't continue to workout you lose alot. I notice I have lost alot of strength in my hands and arms. I do the workout 5 days a week. I can already tell a difference. Love the program. I was really pleased to see that Jane came out with programs for 50+ - posted by Donna on 3/29/2012

Just Right with Jane!
Most of my adult life I have been a regular exerciser. Now 63 years old, I have worked the past ten years at jobs that keep me seated at a computer all day. And I let my exercising lapse except for a (mostly) daily walk. The result: 40 extra pounds, and I just couldn't keep up with the exercise videos I used to use. Well, Jane Fonda has changed all that! I bought all three of her new videos and she has me back in the exercise groove again! They are just the right pace - not so slow and easy that it feels like I am wasting my time, and not so long, fast, and challenging that I use the DVD once and no more. Jane has hit it just exactly right. Her gentle and personal understanding of the aging process and her genuine enthusiasm have helped me re-establish a healthy exercise routine. Heartfelt thanks to you, Jane! - posted by Barbara on 3/29/2012

Good workout
Im 67 yrs old, and have worked out for past 30 yrs with young Jane Fonda, Gilad, gin miller ..loved the step aerobics, but now looking for a more "gentle" & knee friendly workout...this is a good workout for several reasons, as it is a safe routine and good for days you just aren't up to a harder routine... - posted by Karen on 2/2/2012
Jane Fonda's Prime Time Fit and Strong
This workout was just right for me (in my 60's). Nothing too hard for me to do and I felt slightly sore the next day which told me I had a good workout. I got the video in just a few days and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend. - posted by Carol on 12/31/2011
Great Video!
I'm just starting an exercise program since my retirement. This one is great since there are two different workouts to choose. Jane Fonda's dialog keeps me motivated and I'm now looking for more routines!! - I've tried three and this is my favorite. - posted by Chris on 10/7/2011
Jane again
Another excellent cd from Jane. She's her own advertisement of how one can look if they keep at it. I know I can always depend on her tapes. - posted by Diane on 9/29/2011

Reading a Time Graph
X
Each workout shows a time graph of the workout sequence, from beginning to end. For example, this workout starts with a 10-minute warm-up and ends with a 10-minute stretch. In between, you'll do aerobics, then toning, then a cooldown.

Segments that include both aerobics & toning
Some workouts combine aerobics and toning. If the aerobics and toning are done at the same time, you'll see a "blended" graph. If the aerobics and toning are done in short, alternating intervals, you'll see an "interval" graph.
