Certified instructor description: A well-produced introduction to the graceful and sensuous art of bellydance. Jillina makes it simple and fun. Her easy-to-follow, one-on-one instruction is straight-forward and totally non-intimidating. The video begins with a dancers’ stretch followed by thirteen isolations - individual movements like “rib cage isolations,” “hip circles,” “Egyptian Shimmies,” “hit side hits” and “horizontal figure 8’s.” Those moves are then blended into complete combinations (first, broken down slowly, then practiced at full tempo with music). Finally, you’ll add some variations and finish with a 10-minute bellydance performance. Authentic Arabic instrumental music. ©2003. DVD has:

    Good beginner video |
| Jillina really breaks down the moves for you to easy steps. I don't have much coordination so this is important to me. It is more of a workout with Jillina than when I took belly dance lessons in person a couple of years ago. I only wish there were more choreographical dances in this video. - posted by Cathy on 4/5/2011 |

Instructional and workout all in one |
| I really enjoyed this video. I like how the video is divided into sections. The instructions on the technique were great. I especially like the way she did the snake arms. There are a lot of combinations to remember on the choreography. Once I learned the technique and combinations, it was easy to follow. Overall, I really like this routine. I would love to see more videos by Jillina. I would like to see a floor routing and a veil routine. - posted by Kirsten on 12/23/2010 |

    Beginners Best |
| This is the best instructional video I have found. The way she breaks down the skills is easy to understand and to follow. In the end she builds up to a dance, which I love. It is really nice to have the goal of the dance to work towards. - posted by Sarah on 7/3/2010 |

    How to look graceful! |
| This video is teaching us how to dance and it helps us to look graceful in every day life. The explanations are easy to understand. The choreography is fun! But if you find this video to difficult, start with basic belly dance with bellytwins. Then, come back to Jilina. - posted by Steffy on 5/20/2010 |

    great bellydance dvd! |
| I have been taking bellydancing classes for two months and wanted some videos to do between classes since i am addicted to bellydance. I tried my luck with dvd's through netflix and they were all horrible! Jillina's videos are the only ones I've found (so far) made by a REAL dancer not some crazy person who can shake their hips but has no technique. I am still a beginner so this video was the perfect level for me. She owns a dance studio near my house so I am thinking of taking up more classes at her place. Bottom line, this is a great video for a beginner who needs to practice their shimmies, camels, and horizontal figure eights (primary moves in this video!). - posted by annie g on 8/29/2009 |

    Easy Moves |
| I love how Jillina is not a super-skinny belly dancer like in all of the other belly dancing instructional videos. Her moves are easy to follow and not too advanced. This is great for beginners who are looking to find a simple way to start belly dancing. - posted by Christina on 4/30/2009 |

Looks like just what Ive been looking for |
| Ive been looking for a bellydance/exercise video that has a complete dance routine in it. Ive used others that were just segments of a routine. You'd get into the move, and then it stopped, and moved to another ---no flow to it. - posted by mary on 11/6/2007 |
