Certified instructor description: A blend of ballet, Pilates and traditional toning exercises performed in a spectacular Montana outdoor setting. Karen's instruction is quiet and clear; her moves are varied and effective. The program begins with standing moves that use a chair for support and body-positioning (e.g. standing leg lifts and heel raises). That’s followed by a progressive series of diverse matwork exercises. These moves range from gym-style push-ups and abdominal curls to classic Pilates and flowing, dancers’ routines. Some use a small ball to better engage your abs (e.g. the ball supports your lower back while your legs are lifted). Filmed in a scenic meadow with mountains and the Montana sky. Requires a small inflatable ball. ©2010. Eco-friendly packaging. DVD has: Chapter menus, Wide screen.

FANTASTIC WORKOUT!
Once again, Karen has created a beautiful workout. The leg exercises are great and the scenery is so lovely to look at. She never disappoints! - posted by Monica on 4/28/2012
As usual, great
Both the rapid service and the workout were excellent, as is usual with you guys. As I age, I appreciate Karen's workouts more and more. This was low impact but a good workout for my tiring joints. As I own so many, I waited a while to purchase yet another one and watched the clip several times, thoughtfully. The setting of this particular tape was beautiful, out in the great spaces of Montana, but while it inspired, it did not at all interfere with concentration. Some studio productions are so 'staged' that one gets caught up in trying to figure out what one is looking at, or the stage is so harshly lit that everything is dark, including the exercisers, it's hard to follow. This was another slam-dunk by a very professional teacher. I'm pleased to see she is still producing and performing, and in great shape. I've noted over the years that her cuing has grown stronger and more clear as well. Thanks to you both. - posted by Susan on 4/19/2012
Karen Voight Ballet Sculpt-Inspiring
I'm 57 and recently had a fall requiring physical therapy rehab, from which I learned the benefits of Pilates. I wanted a workout I could do with my prescribed exercises and this DVD fits the bill. I feel great after doing it and enjoy the fact that Karen provides stretches after various moves to keep me motivated. I am working to strengthen my core and lower back and need to stretch my I-T bands; Karen builds in the perfect moves for these purposes. I might add that I'm in a weight loss plan and have lost 15 lbs so far, slow and steady has been best for me, maintaining & gaining muscle. I'm about 10-15 lbs from my ideal weight. My Physical Therapist is a certified Pilates instructor and totally hooked me on these simple but challenging moves---that get results. Of course, I love the Montana backgrounds since I live here and actually prefer outdoor exercise. Thanks, Karen. - posted by Jodi on 4/12/2012
Another great workout from Karen
I have been working out for years using videos and Karen Voight is by far my favorite instructor out there. She has made another excellent workout with this ballet bodysculpt video. Her slow and controlled movements done with intensity are just what I need on my non-aerobic days...and she's just the best at motivating and using correct form. - posted by Nancy on 4/12/2012
love Karen Voight
Karen's cuing and directions are excellent as always, and the moves are beautifully demonstrated. - posted by Linda on 4/12/2012
Karen Hits it Out of the Park
Karen is my absolute favorite instructor and she tops all of her previous workouts with Ballet BodySculpt. This workout is fluid, targeted, and does so many great things for the rear. Karen talks a few times in this workout about the moves not "over-working the quads" and I really appreciate that. The strength training moves use no weights at all but I'm maintaining my strength without the bulk which I was getting with deep, weighted squats in so many other workouts. Karen lives up to those wanting a dancer's body. If you're like me, and so many workouts bulk up your thighs, this workout is a God-send! - posted by Nicole R. on 12/31/2011

Absolutely loved it!!! It's a complete and fun work out. Targets your entire body. Highly recommend it. - posted by Gloria on 12/6/2011
Breath of Fresh Air
While I have always admired and appreciated Karen Voight as a top-notch fitness instructor, I have never been able to do her DVD's, because they have always been too fast for my body. This one is so perfect, which makes me wonder about the reviews saying this one is too fast! For me, every move is precise, relevant, and immediate. Every movement fits and flows naturally. I also appreciate its simplicity in presentation. - posted by Dorothy on 10/28/2011
Wow!
As a veteran user of video workouts, I often judge a workout by how difficult it seems the first couple of times. This one did not FEEL difficult, and I told my husband I was not impressed--until the next morning, when I could definitely feel the results in my abs, legs, glutes, arms, you get the picture. A deceptively effective workout. And it has Karen's trademark calm, clear cuing, perfect pace, the right length, and enough variety to keep it interesting. The Montana background doesn't hurt either, and the music choices are perfect. - posted by Peg on 7/19/2011
Smart workout
First let me say that I order lots of workout DVDs and I use Karen Voight's most often. Her workouts are explained beautifully and don't overtax the body while providing a great exercise regime. - posted by Ellen on 5/28/2011
